I first got my Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus graphing calculator when I was a sophomore in high school because I was in the advanced math courses. I continue using the calculator up at the local community college. I had games on the calculator to entertain myself during my high school classes (come on now, who wouldn't??) but I ended up losing them one time when I cleared my memory. I now have no games, and no one to connect my calculator to in order to get games on it again. I would recommend getting the cord that goes with the calculator (it's usually sold separately). As far in my math classes, I usually need instructions on how to use various programs, since theres hundreds or thousands of things you can do, but It's not hard once you know what the abbreviated funcions stand for. It works for the course, and it even provides a little entertainment if you have the games on it, so I think it's definitely worth your time.
