I have many pair of great sandals in my closet. My most recent purchase was the Hurricane II Greek by Teva – “a brand new update to an old classic.” www.teva.com.

There are many aspects of my Hurricanes that I love. They have what is called a Universal Strapping System, a topsole with Microban Zinc based anti-microbial protection which is supposed to help keep my sandals from smelling and their lightweight.

The sandals are made for both men and women. They come a variety of colors. I have the Amy Purple. The Amy Purple has purple, blue and beige colors which make a pattern.

The sizes run from 5 to 11. I took a size 7. I wear a 7 or 7 1/2. The 7 fits me perfectly. I couldn’t go any bigger so if you buy them online and are on the large side of 7 these should be fine. They seem to run big or I would have needed a 7 1/2.

These sandals have a one-year warranty.

The retail price is around $35.00.

Looking closer

I think my Teva Hurricane IIs are really attractive. I can wear them on a light hike or with shorts or jeans to a restaurant.

The universal strapping system is patented. What the system does is anchor my foot with four points of connectivity. The company says this provides the freedom of a sandal but the security of a shoe. I totally agree. My sandals give me the freedom of a sandal but the security of a shoe. I can’t wear flip flops. I need support. The Teva sandals allow my toes to be exposed and much of my feet but my feet don’t bend while wearing them. In addition the sole is firm. Shoes that bend bother my feet the most.

The Jaquard webbing is a type of webbing. There is a texture to it. This is one very durable type of webbing. My husband has had a pair for years!

They do not mark my wood floors.

The sandals rise a bit in the midsole and then dip again. My foot forms to the sandal perfectly. The heel strap has a rubber padded piece on the inside of the strap. This has prevented any blisters. I never had to break these sandals in.

The tread on the bottom is sufficient for moderate hiking trail. The tread is thick and has kept me from slipping on wet rocks when I’ve gone on short hikes and haven’t worn my boots.

The Microban Zinc based anti-microbial protection is supposed to help keep my sandals from smelling. It does. This is an environmental friendly zinc based technology. It fights the growth of odor causing bacterial and fungus. I have had these sandals in some pretty mucky conditions with no adverse smells or effects.

I love it!

I love my Tevas. I don't have this model, but the models I own are nearly indestructible and have really stood the test of time for all kinds of use.

I have these! And the flip flops (Mush, I think they are) by Teva. Amazing footwear and worth every penny. Good review as always!
