I watched Schnidler's List with my oldest daughter and cried so much. I don't think I could watch this movie again because it was emotionally draining and was like 3 hours long, but the story was amazing. It is produced by Steven Spielberg and is based on an actual person, Oskar Schnidler, who was played by the amazing Liam Neeson. A Polish man and his Jewish bookkeeper (Ben Kingsley) helped save hundreds of Jews from being killed by the Nazi regime. He hired 1,200 Jewish people to work in his factory, thereby, saving their lives. They were needed to work in his factory for the benefit of the Germans during World War II. The movie is in black and white, but there is a touching part where Schindler sees a pretty little Jewish girl in a red dress. That was the only part of the movie that was in color -- that little girl in a red dress. Then later, to his horror, he sees that same little girl, in color, in the red dress being carried away dead. Such a warm, emotional movie that shows the good side of humans. It was hard to watch, at times, but was worth it especially knowing this was a true story about a true hero.
