Tempurpedic Rhapsody Mattress —

The Tempurpedic Rhapsody was a huge disappointment to me & my boyfriend! I liked laying on it in the store because it contoured to my body blah, blah... I thought that was the coolest thing, but let me be the first to say sleeping on it for 8 hours is a totally different story! I HATE it!! First of all it sleeps extremely hot! {Way hotter than a typical pillow top... I don't care what they say!} Second, I wake up every time I roll over... Considering I'm in a sunken in a hard hole it is very hard to get comfortable again. Third, the bed gets harder if you keep your home cool.. {Believe me you don't need it any "firmer!!" It's a rock already.} I could go on about why I don't like this bed, but I believe I have made my top points clear! It is going to cost me over $700 to exchange this bed for a decent one... Oh yea, make sure you read ALL the fine print about the return policy! They will screw you!

Thank you for the information. When I looked at the beds at a store they did say that they would charge a 15% restock fee but from looking at the Tempurpedic site they say it's a shipping fee of $175. I think I will still give it a try if that is the case. Thank you again for your help.

In response to ubeme629's comment from May 18, 2009 at 8:34PM:

They charged me 15% to exchange this bed for another bed that was equal or greater value. They had thrown in 2 pillows originally for “free” ($200 value) but when I returned the mattress I was forced to add the $200 to my balance since they don't take back used pillows. I hated the pillows even more than the mattress and don’t use them. I'm not sure how much of this was the company I dealt with vs. the manufacturing companys policy... Either way I learned a very expensive lesson that I’m still making payments on!

what does she mean when she talked about the return policy "They will screw you!" From what I see it will cost me about $150 if I don't like the bed. Is this not true?

You are NUTS!!! I can barely smell mine, less than two days old. Ours was delivered when it was 40 degrees outside and yes it came in firm but was fine that night, 8-10 hours after delivery. I wake up to go to the bathroom, no problem getting up and out and then right back to sleep upon my return. My wife and I removed one of the blankets we used to sleep with but that was it for temperature. Sex was no problem and as well a wonderful way to break in the mattress!! As far as non rewarding, I would discuss that with your partner, not the bed...

I LOVE this bed!! Why do I need bounce to have great sex?Seriously.

Anyway, the first month is firm, after which it softens and "melts" around your body when on it. We got the higher density foam, so there are no "holes" to roll out of when I want to move.

When it feels a bit warm, it's because I've slept so soundly in place for hours. I simply roll over. Also, using a lighter comforter/blanket counteracts any heat issue for us.
