Another plus of the firm surface, is the fact that your partner can toss and turn without waking you up. I love this aspect of the mattress, and this is the main reason why my husband and I selected this mattress over other ones we had previously been looking at and considering.  The firm surface is loved by my husband, but I love the fact that it contours to my body, so it feels softer once I've been on it for awhile. It was a perfect fit for us...he got the harder mattress he wanted, and I got a mattress that meets my need for comfort. This mattress does not impede mobility contrary to what some other reviewers have thought. I can get into bed and out of bed easily. The mattress is on the pricey side, but I had bad back pains and aches, and buying this was not only a furniture purchase but hopefully a body benefiting purchase. In my mind, it was worth the extra money to get a great nights sleep!
