I bought a 9" classic Tempurpedic set from a "Relax The Back Store" near my home. I was, needless to say, very excited; my friends and colleagues who have this bed LOVE it. Therefore, it was with great dismay, that I discovered two "deal breakers" about this memory foam stuff; at least, they are total deal breakers for me. The first is that it is very, very hot. And that is weird, because the top half of your body which is not in contact with the mattress is fine and cool. The bottom half (the half in contact with the memory foam) gets very hot. Woke me up more than once in the last three weeks, I can tell you that. I had heard about this before I purchased it, but I had no idea that I evidently "sleep hot." Too hot for me to keep it. The second thing is that making love in this bed is like doing it in quicksand. No bounce, no way to push back ("impaired mobility indeed"); just sink, sink, sink down, down, down. Did not care for it at all. Some people have said that you just have to change your "style." You know what? Not at that price...I didn't pay two thousand dollars to have to do it on the floor or whever else, and wake up in a sweat not attributable to perimenopause, thank you very much. So, I will be returning it (thank goodness for the 90 day trial) and have already purchased a Stearns and Foster to replace it. Looking forward to not being parboiled and to being able to have a good romp...
