Tempurpedic Deluxe Mattress —

Just bought a tempurpedic deluxe bed 6 months ago after doing research on line about the quality and comfort of this bed. We went to a couple of stores and laid on it for a few minutes and thought it felt good (especially the way it felt next to other tempurpedic beds except the top of the line bed which retailed around $7000.) so it was the best of the tempurpedics to us.  We looked into knock off beds, but because we both had kinda bad backs, we didn't want to take a chance and went for the real thing at $2999. + s&h and tax.

My husband liked the bed after the 1st night, I felt like I was in a sink hole and had trouble turning. The smell bothered both of us which after 4 months subsided. The bed made us sweat, especially me. We got it around thanksgiving and we keep our home on the cooler side, especially at night, which kept the bed very firm. Because it was so firm I bought a pillow topper to make it softer, which it did.  But I continued to feel like I was climbing out of a sink hole.  My husband weighs about 20lbs less than me, so maybe I'm too heavy and that's my problem, I don't know.

I've tried putting extra blankets beneath the pillow topper, over the pillow topper, off the pillow topper, still after 6 months,I can't get use to or like the mattress at all, infact my back has never been so bad as it is now. I also now have neck problems which I never had before. I strain everytime I need to move during the night, so I wake up constantly!. I feel like I haven't slept in months!. I'm totally disgusted I wake my husband up all the time with my moving around. This bed has made our lives miserable! He said this bed is not worth it and will do anything to get rid of it so we can buy a real mattress. Of course now that we have it with the problems, we've spoke to many people who had similar problems like us.

We took a loan on it to pay it off and still owe $2600.  The Sleeppy's said it's way past the time we can give it back, Tempurpedic said, it 's Sleepys responsibility, because we bought it through sleepys and not direclty through tempurpedic. I explained how I now have problems that I never had before and they could n't care less.  They said they could n't help me.  So I have an expensive bed, not paid for, causing me sleeping problems, not to mention many fights because I'm so exhausted all the time from NOT sleeping.  Yeah a company that "claims stress free nights".  Should visit my home around 2 am!!

I'm trying now to sell my bed on craigs list for the best offer, so if you know anyone who wants a 6month used (totally covered) bed, please contact me, cause if I don't get another bed soon, I'm moving out!

We also just bought this kind of mattress ( we got the classic and the Deluxe) with a thought that I will sleep through the night (considering its high reviews for comfort and relieving neck/back pains). But I don't know why it got good reviews when I feel like I haven't slept at all when I get up in the morning. Maybe this mattress is not for me. Will definitely exchange them with a different brand after the 21-day trial policy of Mattress Giant.

This sounds like I wrote it!! Except my problem is my hubby is 6'5" 250 lbs and HE creates the sinkhole and I roll into it. Hate it. And for those who think you can just get a trial period, then return it, think again. Slumberland only has 60 days, and when they keep telling you to "give it time", they know you'll go past it (especially when they don't tell you it isn't tempurpedic's 90 day) My neck is horrible, I don't sleep at night anymore either. Sweaty every night. Hate it, just hate it.

I would have thought the store you bought it from had a 3 month trial period like tempur pedic does. Why didn't you exchange it within 3 months to a different model if you thought it was too hard or too soft etc.? How much are you selling it for? What size? My Rhapsody is just now starting to get soft enough for me and I'm going on not quite 2.5 months...they take a while to break in-you will never break it in with a mattress topper or extra blankets on it. I would say take the topper off and rough it for a while to break the bed in and you might like it better-that is what is happening to me. I am looking to exchange for a Deluxe model-but am now having 2nd thoughts since my bed seems to be 'coming around' for me. Good luck.
