Most HelpfulThis mattress is a little expensive, but is average price when compared to other high quality mattresses. It has a zip off liner, so if you have children that have accidents or leaky diapers, or if you spill something, you just unzip the liner and wash it. your mattress will never have ugly stains or...

Most HelpfulI bought the tempurpedic mattress thinking that I would sleep in everlasting comfort, for at least 10 years. Well, that is not quite the case.
Let me start by saying that if a company limits its supply to specialty stores than the people in the store should be knowledgable in the product. No one knew much about the mattress and I was given a lot of mis information.
I bought the thinner, more dense mattress. Apparently there are two types. The thinner mattress holds more heat, I am always sweating in this bed. The thicker mattress has a better airflow, allowing heat to escape through...
review »The first thing you need to know about tempurpedic is that it is really expensive. We decided to go ahead and buy the bed to replace a water bed that broke. It was a huge mistake. On the plus side, the tempurpedic bed is really comfortable, and I slept well. On the negative side, there are other activities that one likes to do in bed, and the mattress isn't very good for that.
I know of two other couples who have bought this bed, and ended up buying a different one within months. This bed is an expensive mistake.
On the positive side, the pillows are absolutely fantastic. If this is the...
review »I had watched the commercial for years and had even sent away for the sample, but I never realized what an amazing product it was until I had a chance to sleep just one night on one in a hotel. Normally it would take 30 minutes or more for me to fall asleep - I spent that much time trying to find just the right spot in my bed to be comfortable. However, within in minutes of laying on the Tempurpedic I was asleep - and that has been the case every night for the past 4 years. I also find that I tend to wake up in the position that I originally fell asleep in, indicating that I am not tossing...
review »I have had a temperpedic mattress for 8 years. I have multiple orthopedic problems and find the temperpedic helpful in pain control. It also makes it less likely that I will wake up my husband when changing position.
The mattress wears well, it has been "turned" twice and that is difficult for 1 person to do alone. The only negative we have found is that it is too firm, at first, in winter. Our house is cool and the tempur material is heat activated( that's how it conforms to you). It's fine once we have been in it for a bit. It also tends to be to warm in summer if you don't have air conditioning...
review »I have a close friend who was having some back problems which she thought was due to an older mattress so she bought the tempurpedic classic on the adjustable frame and absolutely loves it! She says her back problems are gone, and the adjustable frame also has a built in massager!
Also, buy the sheets they have at the store made for the bed, along with the water proof mattress protector (protects your pricy investment).
And, it may take a little while to get used to for some people but for my friend, there was no long adjustment time, but there was a bit of an odor at first, but it does...
review »My husband has back problems and we have tried many types of traditional mattresses. NOTHING Worked!! Finally we bought Tempurpedic mattress and we slept through the night without waking for the first time in 12 years. This is a life changing investment that is well worth the money. I've had this mattress for almost a year now and love it and won't sleep on an inner spring style mattress again. We wish that we had bought this mattress years ago.
Negitive: It's hot. For me that is a bonus because I typically get cold at night. My husband had to get used the temperature change. If you spill on the...
review »Tempur-pedic mattress
Our Tempur-mattress was great for the first 90 days after that is started to rapidly get softer in the area where we sleep while keeping a firm ridge in the center.
If you NEVER plan to snuggle in the center of the bed this is the bed for you!
If you like sleeping in a hot coffin like trench with NO support this is the bed for you!
The warrantee only covers visible defects so that no support is not considered a defect.
A sponge would meet the requirements of the warrantee so save a few thousand dollars and buy some kitchen sponges instead, thats all you'll have after 3-4 months...
review »When we tried this mattress in the store, we both were in love. But not with the price. We disagreed on the pillowtop-he wanted, I did not. My back pain went away but I developed neck pain! There is no easy way to remove the pillowtop-but I did it the hard way. I cut it off and added a mattress pad. Now I would not trade my mattress for anything!
Bottom line-BIG investment meant to be 30 years or longer- so make sure you love it first.
Love the Tempurpedic mattress. Had the worst pain in lower back and while it took about a week for the pain to completely subside, it hasn't been back since. The spring mattress I used to have did not support me in the right spots.
Highly recommend; only con is the price tag. Another alternative (slept on friend's) is the Bodipedic bed from QVC -- it felt pretty similar to my Tempurpedic for a fraction of the cost.
