Tempurpedic Classic Mattress Review

My husband and I purchased the Classic model and have been sleeping on it for the last 3 weeks.  It would probably be more comfortable to sleep on the floor.  We knew it was going to be firm, but it is significantly firmer than the store model.  We even walked on it for 45 minutes the day it arrived, and its not a temperature issue either.  We live in Texas and keep our house around 75 degrees in the summer.  I'm really concerned for this winter when it gets colder and the bed tends to be more firm.  At first I considered it was a weight issue, my husband liked the bed the first week and he weighs about 70 lbs more than me, so I thought maybe I just didn't weigh enough to get the full benefit of the bed.  We really agonized over which bed to buy, whether we were going to choose a Tempurpedic or a latex bed, and now I'm regretting out purchase.  Does anyone have a recommendation on how to make this bed softer?  The only thing between us and the mattress is a fitted sheet, as is recommended by the manufacturer. 

As far as the other common complaints, yes it does smell, but the smell has faded in the last few weeks and I don't really notice it much.  Alot of people think it gets too hot, but that hasn't bothered me either, and we do keep our bedroom on the warmer side.
