Tempurpedic Classic Mattress —

Tempur-Pedic Mattress

ClassicBed

I am quite sure that if the royal family had put the pea under a Tempur-Pedic mattress then the Princess from the "Princess and the Pea" would have never felt it, never married the Prince and would be still be wandering around bed hopping.

The King in my fairy tale had surgery several years ago followed by complications and long term therapy.  We had a fairly new King size Sealy mattress that we both really liked just fine but several helpful folks in the medical field suggested considering a Tempur-Pedic mattress.  With the 90 day money back guarantee, we decided to try one out and may I say that we have slept happily ever after.

It is important to know that there isn't one Tempur-Pedic mattress.  Tempur-Pedic has a whole line of mattresses with varying details that all feature the unique Tempur foam material.

Tempur-Pedic Sleep Systems:
GrandBed
BellaSonaBed
AlluraBed
CelebrityBed
RhapsodyBed
BellafinaBed
DeluxeBed
PrimaBed
ClassicBed
AdvantageBed
OriginalBed
ClassicBed

Our mattress is a CA King ClassicBed.  The ClassicBed is known for "pressure-relieving comfort and therapeutic support" and it delivers.

The Tempur material is so different than traditional mattresses with box springs.  Basically there are no pressure points.  It is a rather firm mattress yet it melds to your body like a good pair of Birkenstocks meld to your feet.  The difference is that the melding is not permanent.  When you spring out of bed your Tempur-Pedic mattresses returns to form.

New and Improved Features
Some features of the ClassicBed are new and improved.  It is now has a removable washable cover made of a Rayon-Velour that I think feels luxurious as I am putting on the sheets.  It also has an Air Flow system that has eliminated some of the "overheating" issues customers first experienced with Tempur-Pedic mattresses.

The Tempur-Pedic is a heavy mattress (thank goodness for to the bed delivery to the top floor) and we chose the thickest model.  It is very heavy when I lift the corners to change sheets but it is manageable and a small price to pay for the comfort of this mattress.  Speaking of price, this is not an inexpensive mattress.  It is like a hefty investment in comfortable rest and quality sleep and our returns have been exponential compared to other investments of late!

What I Like About the Tempur-Pedic ClassicBed:

I love the way it feels immediately when I lie down.  There's no routing around to get comfortable. It's just comfortable right away.

My husband noticed a worthy difference in his comfort and rest as he recovered which was a blessing and he continues to love this mattress.

I also love that my movements don't move his side of the bed and vice versa.  So it lessens the guilt about my late night reading or getting up in the middle of the night because there's a story that just has to be written now.  I must say though that my husband has to wake me up now.  I used to automatically wake up when he got up and now I sleep through it.  That's not really a bad thing, especially if the coffee is ready!

I know many couples who have bought and love Tempur-Pedic mattresses.  I know one couple in which the wife loved it but the husband could not get used to it so they returned it with in the 90 day guarantee period.  With the high cost of this mattress, I think the 90 day guarantee is important.

The Tempur-Pedic sleep systems have been given:
A Best Buy award by Consumer Products
A Good Housekeeping Promise Seal for Guarantees
Ease of Use Commendation by the Arthritis Foundation

My Viewpoint:
We really love our Tempur-Pedic ClassicBed mattress.  When ever we travel I am reminded just how very much I love it. If you ever fall in love with a Tempur-Pedic, all other mattresses will be down hill from there but Tempur-Pedics are made-well, durable and have washable covers so you should count on enjoying one for a long happily ever after.  It was a good investment that has truly offered this King and Queen royally good sleep and comfort.

Gigi tell them to deliver one to me! A- sounds like the king and queen of your castle are getting a pretty good nights sleep. And now I don't feel so guilty when we stay up late chatting! I got the mattress topper b.c we decided the cost of the "T" when we needed a new mattress was not a good idea. But just your description makes me wonder?????

Sounds comfy. I get my mattresses for free so I don't have to do all the shopping around. I go into the store and lay on a few beds, bounce on a few more and then point at the one I want. Really! And then if they are a little firmer than I thought they would be once I sleep on them for a while. Well, the kind people at the mattress store just deliver me a pillow topper. My s-i-l and her brother own a mattress store. Great review though. I'll have to tell her what you think of the Tempurpedic. ~Gigi
