Most HelpfulI wrote a review of a Vera Wang mattress we bought for $2,000 and returned after two weeks. We went with the bed I loved from the get go; however, the sticker shock of $3,500 put a halt to the Celebrity Bed by Tempur-Pedic. After really not liking the Vera Wang and starting to feel our...

Most HelpfulThe first two weeks with our Tempurpedic were a little difficult but after that it was sweet dreams. This mattress is unlike any other that I have slept on. It actually requires an effort to change positions since there aren't any springs. Once our bodies adjusted to the new mattress we were sold. We have had our mattress for over 3 years and I am extremely pleased. I would recommend that if you are considering a Tempurpedic that you actually try one in a store and be willing to give yourself at least 2 weeks to adjust to the new surface before you decide that you aren't happy. As the...
review »My husband and I were visiting my mother and brother on the day my brother's tempurpedic was delivered. Since my brother's bedroom was the only option for us to sleep in that night - we got to christen his new bed. I can recall it was summer, and the air conditioning was set to 72. I remember being surprised that the mattress was firmer than I expected. I guess I expected it to feel like a dish sponge.
As I was lying there, trying to get comfortable, the body heat started kicking in. The room felt about 20 degrees warmer than it was. I had to get a fan. When I got back into...
review »I bought this bed instead of a regular coil spring mattress after 'testing' it at the mattress store. Laying on the bed for 2 minutes and sleeping on it for 540 are two totally different things.
After 8 painful...
review »We purchased our King size TempurPedic Celebrity Mattress in 2004 and have regretted the purchase ever since, especially given the huge expense. Beginning with getting in the bed, for the average height woman, it is a climb. Once in the bed, I find it difficult to fall asleep because I am not the kind of person who can get into bed and fall asleep; it takes me several tries to find the perfect position and with this bed it is difficult to change positions since you sink into a huge divot, which requires great effort to escape each time. I also must say that getting out of bed in the morning is...
review »Tempurpedic Celebrity Bed - be afraid - be very afraid...
Do NOT purchase this bed unless you are looking for a gift for your mortal enemy. We have slept on this monstrosity since 2004 and we have been waking up in constant pain for the last 3 years. Talking to Tempurpedic is like talking to the salesman that has the perfect screen door for your submarine... When we started to notice an issue (i.e., the pain), they required us to pick up the 500 pound mattress, put on the floor (flat) and look for a .75 inch sag and send them pictures and so on... In the wise words of Charlie Brown, "...
review »I got this bed four years ago and count myself a true convert! I balked a bit at first about spending so much on a bed -- but after some comparison calls, I found a liquidation-type store that had Tempurpedics for around the same as a pillowtop mattress.
Here's the thing: Mattresses are expensive for a reason. People can't abide an uncomfortable bed for long, so they're willing to pay for quality. So why spend $600 or more on a pillowtop when you can spend $800 on a Tempurpedic?
Every time I stay anywhere outside my home, I'm always happy to come back to my bed. It absorbs a lot of movement,...
review »Hi, I have ad my Celebrity for about 4 months, and i absolutely love it! I suffered from lower back pain and neck pain for almost 8 years, which were sport related injuries. The first 2 nights in the bed were difficult because your body has to get aquainted with the material!.. it is very different than a traditional mattress!... after my body adjusted, my pains went away!.. The usual pinched nerve in my back (causing my left leg to go numb) quickly started to disappear!... I love this bed so much! i enjoy going to bed early! lol ... it is very solid, very limited shock movement.. I highly...
review »With Fibromyalgia since my late 30's and pain from a slipped vertebrae in my low back, a decent night's sleep had been impossible. First I tried a Tempur-Pedic cervical support pillow. I felt like somone was cradling my head and neck in foam. My shoulders relaxed and upper body seemed less painful in the morning.
WOW! Then I thought, "Hmm, if this is great for my neck, maybe the mattress would be great for my whole body."
Great is an understatement. Within 3 days of sleeping on my Tempur-Pedic mattress, I stayed asleep all night and woke in the morning able to get out of bed without making...
