Tempurpedic Celebrity Mattress Review

We purchased our King size TempurPedic Celebrity Mattress in 2004 and have regretted the purchase ever since, especially given the huge expense. Beginning with getting in the bed, for the average height woman, it is a climb. Once in the bed, I find it difficult to fall asleep because I am not the kind of person who can get into bed and fall asleep; it takes me several tries to find the perfect position and with this bed it is difficult to change positions since you sink into a huge divot, which requires great effort to escape each time. I also must say that getting out of bed in the morning is even more difficult because I haven't experienced a good night of sleep. As a person with chronic pain in my joints and muscles, I am very surprised that this bed has received commendation by the Arthritis Foundation.

Beyond the disappointing and actual fatiguing sleeping issues of this mattress, it also has many other disappointing and frustrating issues. Let's start that finding sheets to fit this mattress, it is impossible. I have purchased 4 different types of sheets (adding to the initial expense of this bed) and each of them shift during the night and end up popping off; you find yourself tangled in the morning. I am not a person who likes to make by bed from ground up every morning. Getting the fitted sheet onto the mattress is a struggle and takes a lot of tugging and pulling. We eventually decided to forgo the bottom sheet and just sleep on the Luxurious cashmere cover, which, I must say is very nice to touch, but after a week or so we needed to wash the cover. This leads to yet another issue; it is a major pain to take off! You actually have to take apart all of the separate baffles, sliding each out of its own pocket in the cover; easily 45 minutes to disassemble, just to wash the cover. You will double the time and effort to reassemble the cover and mattress baffles. And yet another negative with this bed is that after a year of use, all of the baffles began to sag off one side of the bed. Lastly, I must comment, and I will not go into details, but even after five years of ownership we still find it difficult and cumbersome to be intimate in our bed.
