Tempurpedic Celebrity Mattress —

My husband and I were visiting my mother and brother on the day my brother's tempurpedic was delivered.  Since my brother's bedroom was the only option for us to sleep in that night - we got to christen his new bed.  I can recall it was summer, and the air conditioning was set to 72.  I remember being surprised that the mattress was firmer than I expected.  I guess I expected it to feel like a dish sponge.

As I was lying there, trying to get comfortable, the body heat started kicking in.  The room felt about 20 degrees warmer than it was.  I had to get a fan.  When I got back into bed, without warning, my butt started sinking lower than any other part of me into the mattress.  I was in some sort of yoga position I had yet to master.  I felt like I was doing a jack-knife off the high board for the first hour I laid there.  Then, I started moving around to get comfortable.  Two feats almost impossible to attempt in this bed.  I moved out to sleep in the living room on the couch for awhile - but eventually came back in to sleep on the floor.  My husband hated the mattress too - but he can sleep almost anywhere, and this proved it.

In final - never again!

I agree. This is one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. My Mom slept on hers for 120 days and HATES it. The salesman told her she could return it but when she tried he had all kinds of excuses why she couldn't. Now, at 81 years old, she is stuck with a mattress she spent a fortune on, hates and cannot sleep on. We put it in the guest room and bought her a Select Comfort mattress, which she absolutely loves!

This review is unfair. Every person you talk to, along with Tempurpedic's site, all say that you have to give your body 30 days to get used to the new material.
