Tempurpedic 8" Memory Foam Queen Mattress —

We purchased a tempurpedic mattress after my husband and I were in a car accident.  His orthapedic doctor had recommended this particular mattress as part of his therapy.  It definietly helped him sleep more comfortably .  I even sleep better and I didn't have any type of injury or issues that kept me from sleeping well on our old mattress.  Over the years the mattress did not break down like regular foam and spring mattresses do.  We have been so happy with this mattress -- it's about 12 years old now and just as comfy as the day we bought it -- so we purchased one for our daughter once she graduated from a toddler size bed.  We thought that a cheaper mattress would be fine for her since she was young, but a chiropractor friend stressed the importance of a good bed as it relates to neurological and muscular issues in the body.  It's also important for children to sleep well, as their bodies need to recharge nightly to grow properly.  We have been very happy with our tempurpedic mattresses and would certainly recommend them.  The cost is substantially more than a foam or spring mattress, but the quality is much higher.  The product also lasts much longer than cheaper mattresses.  If you were to prorate the cost over the life of the mattress I believe that the cost differenct would be minimal. The associated health benefits also make it a better choice of mattress.
