Temple University (formerly Temple College) was founded in 1884 and become Temple University in 1907. Temple University is a public university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

  • A student computer center with 700 computers: up to 600 fixed workstations and 100 wireless loaner laptops
  • 13 breakout rooms for collaboration and group study
  • A 24-hour Help Desk for students, faculty, and staff
  • Specialized labs including video editing, graphic design, music composition, "quiet" zone, and software development facility
  • A Faculty Wing
  • Social spaces for students with lounge areas and plasma TVs

My Viewpoint: Temple University offers a wide range of degree programs and academic majors in many of the most sought after professional programs around the world.  Its study abroad program provides for global experience absolutely essential in today's business world.  The technology center surpasses that provided by some top tier schools and the student life and ethnically diverse environment, as well as its location in Philadelphia provides students with hundreds of opportunities for socialization, entertainment and unique experiences.

Overall, Temple University is a school you should consider, especially if you are interested in the social sciences, where their programs rank highly and a PA resident.  Its tuition and fees are competitive to many other public universities and the city of Philadelphia may provide you with interesting internships through the university programs to make your future a whole lot brighter when job searching.
