Along with Martin, Taylor is one of the benchmark companies for acoustic, steel-string guitars. Sure, there are good guitars from many other companies such as Gibson, Guild and others, but almost every decent guitar is eventually compared to a Martin or Taylor. That's why, when I had the chance to spend some time with a Taylor 710CE, I jumped at it.

Features

Tasty details abound on this guitar, including a solid spruce top, solid Indian rosewood sides and back, a mahogany neck topped with an ebony fretboard, a sound hole trimmed in koa (a mahogany variant from Hawaii) and beautiful Indian rosewood...

There's a lot of Taylor haters in PA because it's the home of Martin Guitars. I'll be the first to say that the best Martin has nothing--nothing-- on a 7 or 8 series Taylor. While I play an 8 series, I tried out several 710 and 714 Taylors before buying. I actually prefer the sound of a 7 series over my 8 series because of the superior clarity and crispness of the higher strings. The lower register is very resonant-- not muddy sounding like many other guitars in need of new strings. I'm big on the aesthetics, so the basic circle-shaped pearl abalone inlays weren't very appealing. And I've never...

This guitar is an excellent in every aspect. I highly recomend this company to anyone who is in the market for a guitar. It has an awesome sound if you ask me. I have been playing guitars for 30 years, and going. It stays in tune very well, and sounds superb in my opinion. Considering other guitar's on the market this one is deffinately one of the best someone could buy.I recommend highly this beauty.

If your willing to spend your money on a nice guitar, you cant go wrong with Taylor.

Taylor is one of the nicest brands in acoustic guitars.

I have played many different types of Taylor made guitars, and they, next to Martin, have the fullest sound and are comfortable to play

The Taylor 710ce Acoustic Guitar is a great guitar for a beginner.  Maybe even an ameture however it is not pro quality.  That does not mean that this guitar is bad.  This guitar has a weaker bridge and softer tuning keys but thats ok cause if your new at it thats what you want.
