I have used the Tax Act online tax preparation website for the past two years to prepare my taxes and I am exeptionally pleased with the site. It offers helpful tips on how to save money and it also gives you alerts telling you where you may be able to take deductions and whether there are discrepancies that may flag the IRS. The site is very simple to navigate and to use. You can also check the status of your return, and gives you a specific date that you can expect your return to be recieved. The fee for using the site varies depending on the degree of help that you want or need, but the basic preparation can be done for free. The other levels of preparation are not expensive, either, and are about 10 times cheaper than using H&R Block or any other tax preparation establishment. If you are married, it also has a helpful feature to tell you if you are better off filing jointly or separately. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone and will continue to use it myself in the future.
