A wonderful friend gave me this mix to try. According to the directions on the box, you can make a soup or sauce from the mix. I made the soup. It was simple to prepare: stir the mix into water & simmer for 15-20 minutes. It was creamy, which I like in soups, & the broth was okay. It was the kind of taste where a little is okay but a lot tends to make you sick. The mushrooms were the big disappointment. They were crunchy in an artificial sort of way. My toddler took one sip & flatly refused to eat it. My husband stuck a finger in his & agreed. The baby didn't mind it too much & I ate it too. I wouldn't buy it though. Tastefully Simple makes a lot of great products, but this is not one of them. Also, because I got this as a gift, I don't know how much it was, but pretty much all of Tastefully Simple's Products are on the higher end price wise for food products. Also, there is a lot of Sodium per serving, 1050mg, & as I was writing this review, I noticed the ingredients. There is partially hydrogenated soybean oil. Partially hydrogenated oils are bad for you. So, overall I'd say that this product doesn't live up to the Tastefully Simple standards, however, prehaps if I had made the sauce, I would have a different opinion about the taste.
