I earned enough money freelance writing to finally afford a new laptop!!!!  The problem is...I never owned a laptop before and didn't know much about them.  I promptly took my laptop home and began using it on surfaces like my lap, a pillow, my table, etc.  I began noticing that I was getting very hot using my laptop.  Curious, but I thought nothing of it.

My very smart husband presented me with a Targus Chill Mat for Mother's Day.  I had no idea what it was.  Well, it is PURE GENIUS, that's what it is!

My laptop used to shut off due to overheating, plus my palms and fingers would get too hot...  However, I happenstanced on this product about a year ago and it's been one of the best investments!  It's paid for itself ten-fold.

I've recommended this product to many people and know they are happy to have a cooled off laptop while they work on projects, etc.

It's convenient, simple to use, lightweight, and totally affordable.  Get it at Target, it's less costly there - at Best Buy it was $40 more.

You will be happy with comfortable palms and fingers while doing your computer stuff.

The switch in the power cord failed on two of these immediately.  Was able to repair one, but so far not the other.  Has very fine wire in the cables and they are very difficult to solder or repair.  They should replace them with a cord without a switch!
