Target - Visa Credit Card Review

I was a Target Visa holder for about 5 years.  I had one late payment about 3 years ago.  Just recently, I was contacted by a Target Visa representative at my work number (which I've never been contacted at by a creditor at) that I was a day late on my payment and they wanted to make sure that I was going to be making my payment by the next day so that they wouldn't have to raise my interest rate and turn it in on my credit report.  Needless to say, I was shocked.  My credit is and always has been in very good standing.  As I said, I was late on one of my payments in the past, but had never been contacted and threatened by a Target Visa representative in this manner.  I assured them that it was an oversight and I would have my payment to them by the next business day. They seemed satisfied with this...but I was still reeling from the fact that I was in such good standing with my credit and after one late payment by only one day, they were calling my at my work number "harassing" me about the late payment as if I was a poor credit holder.

I immediately decided to make my payment over the phone and proceeded to cancel my account with Target Visa.

I would never recommend this card to anyone.
