I never used store-brand or discount formula with my first child, and I was reluctant to do so with my twins. They were exclusively breast fed for months, and only needed formula after I had returned to full-time work and they hit a big growth spurt. We went with Enfamil for a while, but when they started...

My daughter was on Good Start Soy formula for about 3 weeks.  So I was going to Target to get another can of formula because she had run out and I noticed that Target had their own brand of soy based formula.  It was literally half the price for the same exact amount of formula and also mostly the... review »

I am a new mom and breastfed exclusively for the first 3 months.  When it was time for me to go back to work, I used Enfamil because I had a few free samples from my doctor.  When the samples ran out, I went to buy more and was blown away by the price of one can!  I noticed the Target brand formula and that the price was cheaper by 50%.  I was hesitant to use the store brand because I wanted only the best for my baby but I compared the ingredients, did my research online and consulted my pediatrician.  My pediatrician said that store brand formulas are nutritionally identical to the name...

I was extremely skeptical about feeding my baby Target brand formula, but the price difference of this compared to Similac and Enfamil was too great not to do some research.

Pros:

The numbers and percentages on the nutrition label on the back of the Target formula is exactly the same as Enfamil's.

All infant formula has to meet the same health and nutrition standards.

Even with all the name brand formula coupons I find/receive - the Target formula is still less expensive.

My baby has been using this formula for 6 months and she is growing just fine and hitting all her developmental milestones on...

This formula is perfect--and guess what--it's exactly the same as Parent's Choice or Member's Mark--so if you don't have a Target by you--or they are out--then head to Sam's or WalMart--and you can pick it up there. My 1st was on Enfamil, my 2nd was breastfed, and my 3rd started out with Enfamil. She was spitting up so much. She was put on Enfamil AR--put still would spit up. I went to WalMart one day--but they were out of her formula. In a pinch-I picked up a big can of Parent's Choice (at a mega low price)-as a back up. She ended up LOVING it--and never spit up her formula again!!! I asked... review »

When I ran out of formula for my 8 month old daughter, I had very little money.  I decided to go toTarget (because I had a giftcard).  I couldn't believe the price of their formula!  I decided to try it. It is so close to the major brands if you put it in the other container, noone would be able to tell the difference!!  I am soo happy with this product, that if I run out again.....I will be running to Target!!!

When my son was born, the hospital started him out on Enfamil Lipil with DHA. When it was time for us to buy the first can of formula, we were amazed at how expensive the Enfamil was. Since Target is my favorite retail store, I decided to check out their infant milk based formula. I probably looked silly, but there I was in the middle of the infant feeding aisle, Enfamil can in one hand, Target brand in the other. The labels were exactly the same in nutrition, yet one was over ten dollars higher in price. Guess what I went with? Target brand formula has never upset us. Never have I found a gnat... review »

I have a 5 year old daughter, who I only used Enfamil for. (it was my first baby, and I assumed the best of the best was needed)  but now 5 years later, my son was born.. and economiclly things just arent the same as they used to be.. So I picked up Target formula with Iron, read the back, and realized that the exact same ingrediants are being used for this.. the best part... it's a savings of about 15 dollars for the exact same thing!  My son is happy and healthy, and he is doing just great on it!!

I would recommend this product to anyone!! (In fact, I usually do, if I run into a new mom in the...

I used to use the Enfamil formula and then I checked the label and compared it to the Target brand formula and they were so similar that I didn't see the point in spending more.  My son had experienced trouble on other formulas when switching but he did fine switching to the Target formula.  I will definately use it with my next baby.

Target brand Infant formula is an excellent buy. It is half the price as other formula brands and has the exact same ingredients as Enfamil. It even has a comparison chart on the back of the can. My 3 month old has had no problems with it since birth, I just wish they had it sooner for my other 2 kids.

Target brand milk based formula is just as good as the expensive brands, but you can save a lot of money.  I got turned on to the Target brand formula when I found coupons in a magazine.  I went to the store to check it out.  In comparing labels, I found that there really was no difference between formulas.  I got the Target brand, saved a lot of money and my baby was healthy.  The Target brand formula has all of the nutrients found in other formulas and everything your baby needs to grow healthy.

Please do not turn your head at the fact this is a store brand or generic brand formula - do not let the cost fool you - My husband brought it home from Target one day and I admit I tuned my nose at it becuase it was not the same price point - I thought it had to be  expensive to give baby the best and hid the canister in the back of the cupboard -  one day in a pinch running out the " expensive name brand" which by the way does not appear to be rated on this site - what does that tell yah or me for the matter???!!!)  but after comparing the nutirtional  values and ingredients it is the same...

I am a mom strapped for cash and i was a litle worried about buying a target brand formula.  I have bought other target brand products before and i have actually never found a target brand product food that i did not like.  So i thought i would first compare the ingrediants to the other ingrediants on the cans that I use and it was the same.  I then bought a can and asked my pediatrician if there was any reason that i should not try it or use it.  She said that as long as my son liked the taste and tolerated it then there should be no reason to use it.  It saves me a lot of money. OF course...

When our daughter was first born, we used brand name everything.  Then I decided to stay home with her which meant making major changes in our shopping habits.  Our biggest expenses were diapers and formula. At my daughter's six-month check-up, I asked the pediatrician about store brand formulas.  He said "to give it a shot" so we did.  We tried Target Milk Based Powder Infant Formula and our daughter didn't know the difference.  The cans were half the price of the leading national brand.  I can't believe I didn't trust the Target Brand sooner.  It was definitely a budget saver.
