I have been using Luv's diapers for 9 months and recently decided to try a generic brand to see how they compared to the diapers I have been using for so long.  I never had a problem with Luv's, I was just curious to see how other diapers compare.  Since I am always shopping at Target, I decided to buy the Target Brand diapers.  They ended up being a couple dollars cheaper for the same amount of diapers.

When I put the Target Brand Diaper on my son, I noticed the tabs were different.  They didn't stick as well as Luv's.  When you put the diaper on and attach the tabs, you cannot readjust the tabs because they won't stick anymore.  Several times I had to throw a diaper away because the tabs lost their tackiness to the diaper.

The worst part about the Target Brand Diapers is that they DO NOT work for overnight diapers.  I would say, 3 out of 5 mornings, my son and his pajamas were wet from the diaper leaking.  So you can imagine what fun it is to change your baby's clothes and crib sheets every other morning because of a faulty diaper.  The Luv's diapers have never done that to me.

The only thing I can say I like about the Target Brand Diapers is that they fit just as well as more expensive diapers.

The Scoop!

Changing clothes several times and crib sheets every other day is not worth the couple of bucks you save with these diapers.  I would not buy these diapers again even if I was low on funds.  Diapers are definitely one area where you get what you pay for.

I agree totally about not using these for overnight. Total mess every morning! Kind of disappointing cause they are so cheap.

All of my friends use Pampers. I didn't even know Luvs still existed. I always thought the rivals were Pampers and Huggies.

Yeah, I am not going to cut corners on diapers again!

All these generic diapers always gave my babies a rash. Their poor little buns would be bright red! :-(

I bought the Target diapers a week ago. Your'e right though, they aren't that bad during the day, it's just at night when they suck horribly :)

Have you tried Target diapers recently? They now have stretchy sides - a new feature, and it makes them much more leak resistant. I never use them overnight though; I buy Target for day and Luvs for night; it really saves money to use the two brands in tandem like that.

I don't have a Krogers, but I do think I have a Walgreens. I think I will just go back to Luv's. They are lower priced diapers compared to Huggies and Pampers, but I haven't had any problems with them. Thanks for reading!

It's been a long time since I've tried Target Brand. If you're looking for a good generic there are several out there... you just have to find it. If you have Krogers, the Ultra Comforts are my go-to diapers. Also the Walgreens brand are the exact same as the Krogers.
