Target Brand Diapers —

Well, tonight I had to write a letter to Target, to let them know that although I love them, this recent stunt on their part really stinks.

To whit:

Are you guys SERIOUSLY discontinuing your Target Brand diapers?

I hate to nitpick, but in an economy crunched for dollars, you guys were my go-to diaper buy. 92 diapers, size 4, for 13.69 or whatever it was, was right up my alley.

Not to mention, within the last year you guys added stretchy sides to your diapers, which means you were in direct competition for quality with some of your name brand competitors! Prior to that change, I just bought you because you were cheap - then you upgraded! I started bragging about you to my mom friends, letting them know the quality you were providing!

Now skip to tonight. Tonight I go to my local Target's diaper aisle, find no target brand diapers, except for a few random packages on a clearance rack, and some brand called up&up or something? Which I take to be your new "generic," but now they are 13.99 for a box of 82??

Do not think that the consumer is not going to notice a few more cents per box, and 10 LESS DIAPERS per box.

I always tell my son when he's getting a diaper change that he's pooping on quarters, because a diaper is about 25 cents on average. With Target diapers, that wasn't true. Now, I don't know.

Anyway, obviously one disgruntled customer (who loves your store, your products, and most everything about you guys) isn't going to make you bring back your Target Brand Diapers, but... I'm really, really going to miss them.

Sincerely,
Broke Mom in Bellevue, WA (use your Factoria location)

My old review, which I will not rescind, as I still loved these diapers, but... it seems they are no more:

I haven't always loved the Target diapering experience but it has recently improved:

They have added stretchy sides!!

My husband and I mainly use Target diapers during the day without any leaking problems.  We use a more expensive, brand-name diaper for nightwear because our son has slept through the night for quite some time, and sometimes has leaks because of this.  But for daywear, who can beat Targets diaper price, along with availability?  Target is so conveniently located for most people, and I love to stock up on basics there.

Target will continue to be my go-to day diaper until we no longer need them, especially with the new stretchy side.  I hated the old solid "fabric" side - it was awful and sometimes ripped when putting the velcro tabs down.

Much improved, Target!  Thanks for keeping your product updated!!
