Tappan (TGF605EU) Kitchen Range Review

I have 2 homes and the 2nd home is just a winter home where we stay for just a few months...so we don't put a lot of money into it. Anyhow my old stove that was here went kaput so my husband and I went to Lowe's to fins another cheep stove.

You do get what you pay for...this stove looked nice enough, nothing fancy, just an ordinary stove. Or so I thought.

The one gripe that I have is that when using the oven the door gets very hot...Do not touch the oven door when the oven is in use!

Often times while cooking my youngest daughter will come in and see what I'm doing. She likes to touch things to see if they are hot. I touch it first to be sure she won't get hurt before telling her to feel something. Well once while cooking something in the oven she came up and wanted to touch the door, I touched it first to see if it was OK (our other oven is very well insulated and not even warm to the touch when in use) it was way too hot for her to touch so I had to give her my hand and have her feel how warm my had was just from touching it!
