Years ago a friend told me that he had a video (yes...YEARS ago) that I HAD to see. I thought to myself "oooooooK.....is it that serious?!?!" He spoke like a man possessed as he told me of the sheer brilliance that is was and forever will be Stop Making Sense by The Talking Heads. As it all gets underway out walks group lead David Byrne with just a guitar and a portable cassette player opening with the song Psycho Killer. With those bare tools and robust energy Byrne opens  this movie/show with the clear intent to please and entertain. From that briliant begining I knew I was in for one heck of a treat and could feel what my friend was feeling.

What unfolds next is a show that slowly builds as each member joins song by song all while the crew puts everything together around them. Once all is in place you are taken to a whole different level with an awesome group brilliantly filmed by director Johnathan Demme (Silence Of The Lambs). Demme puts you front and center as Byrne's stage production is to brought to life right before your very eyes. Not one highlight cannot be found here because from start to finish Stop Making Sense is a highlight all in itself. Many have tried but have yet to come even close to the sheer perfection of Stop Making Sense which is hands down arguably the best concert film ever made!
