I was a fan of the store for years. Like many women I am busy and shop online to save time. I purchased several items back in November but one didn't fit. Unfortunately I have been busy with work, kids, etc. I finally had a break and wanted to return the item and do some spring shopping at the store. They refused to accept the return past the 90 day limit. I understand they may take a small loss on that item but we all know their profit margin is huge. Additionally I left the store without buying anything new. Now I am so frustrated that I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to go back, it feels like losing a friend. There are lots of other good stores out there...I wish LL Bean sold business causal clothes. They will take anything back at anytime!

I love Talbots Petite because I can walk in buy something and wear it right away with out alterations. But here lately I have purchased 4 pair of pant that after a few hours of wear (sitting at my desk) the pant form to the knees and you walk around with the knees bagging. The pants also stretch and are nearly falling off before the end of the day. I am truly embarrassed - I hate to tell anyone I am wear clothes by Talbots. What is up with the quality?

Talbots.com is a really awesome place to shop. Some of their prices are a bit too high for my budget but, never the less, I can't seem to stay away from the site. For me this site is a no brainer when it comes to looking professional at work. They have some of the most classy styles I have seen thus far. They keep up with current trends and have sizes that are flexible. Their clothing has a true to size fit which is one thing I really like, especially because buying clothing that fits can sometimes be tricky when purchased online.My favorite area of the site is the accessories department. You can find some really reasonably priced accessories that will coordinate very well with just about any outfit you decide to purchase. Their earrings on the site are extremely limited but, they are nice and pretty reasonably priced. The shoes are another story entirely. Although they are very nice, they are also very expensive. The shoe selections that they feature are not unique and are widely available on other similar sites for a much lower price. My overall opinion of shopping at Talbots.com is positive. Their work clothing selection fit my needs very well. However, I wouldn't buy shoes from Talbots.com unless they are on clearance rack. Product Selection Really depends on what you are shopping for, some departments are lager than others.

I ordered from Talbots one time and was very pleased with my experience. It was more than a year ago, but I stumbled across a great deal on their web site and could not resist. They have very nice and high quality clothes, usually at very expensive prices. If you can shop during a big sale, then you can get a really good value on nice clothes. I bought a pair of shoes that did not fit me, and I was able to return them easily at my local Talbots store. That is always a plus when doing online shopping. It was a very easy process to do. I was also happy that I got free shipping on my purchase which also helps out. I would recommend shopping at Talbots.com, especially if you can find a great sale. If money is no object, then by all means just shop away. You will be very happy with the quality of the clothes and shoes and also the customer servicve experience. I was very impressed with my shopping experience with Talbots.com.

I have shopped at Talbots.com several times, and I am not sure if I will continue. For starters the Tablots.com website ran very slowly. My guess, is that it was due to the sale that they were running at the time and the site was overloaded; if this is the case, then the Talbots.com server needs to be upgraded to handle the influx of visitors to the site. Next, is their inability to pack orders correctly. If I order an item in a specific size or color, that is what I want. I do not want someone to ship me anything different especially if it is out of stock. I also do not like the fact that Talbots.com has the customer pay the shipping back to them if THEY get the order incorrect. It is not convenient for me to visit the store to return, and I don't appreciate paying to return an item they messed up. Because of their slow website and lack of customer service, I will not be using Talbots.com as much as used to.

I used to buy lots of clothes from JCPenny's and Kohl's until discovering this little gem. I love that they have a good return policy. Their clothes run true to size, meaning if you order a 14 in one pant, the other pants 14 is the same size. I have purchased multiple things off their website, which offers decent sales every once in a while, for my mother. She is not old by any means but she does prefer to keep herself covered as much as possible. So for some modest clothing and basic items, Talbots is my go to for stuff for her. She likes that they offer multiple colors and generally if I buy something for her, and she likes it, I go back and order in bulk. I personally have bought several skirts from them that are a few years old but still wash and wear like brand new. I have purchased things for my mother in law as well and she loves them. I would recommend try buying a few sizes before buying just one as they run a little different, basically if you are 16/18 at Target, you should try a 14/16 here.

I was in Talbots and fell in love with a coat there. I waited to buy it & it sold out in the store. I searched Talbots online store and found it still in stock there so I ordered it. I even got it cheaper than in the store as they were running an online promo, which I found by googling "Talbots coupon". I also signed up for their mailing list, so I could get the offers emailed to me in the future. Their website was very easy to navigate. I knew what the coat that I was looking for was named, so I was able to just type it in it the search bar and it popped up. I also discovered it was available in more colors & sizes (petite, tall) online than they had in the store. I quickly put it in my cart and within 5 minutes, checkout was done & the coat was mine. I was impressed with the packaging and the box it came in when I received it in the mail! I believe that you can return online purchases in the store as well which is nice if something doesn't fit. I would definitely recommend shopping at Talbots online!

I am a big fan of Talbots. I really like their clothing, shoes and accessories. I used to shop in their physical stores but have since moved to a rural area and do not have a Talbots near me so I now shop with them online. One thing I noticed about their online site is that it is so professional and polished looking. I love that I can various ways to put an outfit together on their website. I can really visualize how the clothing and accessories will look. Their description of their products are top notch - just by reading their descriptions, I get a good idea of how their items work, will look, feel and how they will fit my body. Plus, Talbots has both a sale section and a clearance section on their website, which makes their clothing more affordable. I can actually find better deals at their online site than I can in their actual stores. Sometimes, I even get lucky with free shipping - if I spend enough on their site. Talbots has amazing high quality clothing and I love treating myself a couple of times a year. I do with that their shipping was a little faster. I have found the shipping to be a little slow, but I do live in a rural area and this may also contribute to the slow shipping. I have never returned an item to their online site so I cannot speak about their customer service or return process. Another thing I really like about Talbots online website is that they do not send me a lot of emails. Some websites send email after email and it becomes annoying. I love that Talbots does not spam me or fill my inbox with senseless emails from them.

I find Talbot's website to be somewhat similar to Lands' End in that it's not cluttered and focuses on the product. When I get onto websites like Macy's or Pennys, I'm overwhelmed with pictures, words, ads, info., etc. Talbots is not like that. If I want to find just womens' sales for dresses only, click, it's right there. I don't want my shopping experience to be like a Facebook ad with things jumping out all over at me. It's over stimulating. I'd have to say one of the most important aspects of a website to me is how easy it is to use and how trustworthy it is. I totally get both from Talbot's website. The last order I placed with Talbots contained an item I needed to send back because of sizing, which wasn't a problem and more my fault. You're hard pressed to find clothes from them that are not of high quality and always classy. One of my all-time favorite cardigans came from Talbots about 10 years ago. I still have it. Really, for their quality and design and sophistication, they aren't all that bad in price. I'd much rather splurge on one item from a place like Talbots than get 3 cheapies from Sears or Target or Kohls. And all three of those places have "busy" and "overwhelming" websites!

I wish this site had more sales than it currently does! First of all, I use the site to get the right gifts for my mother, but the prices can be too high. If the prices were a little bit more reasonable. I would be shopping here more often. The overall layout of the website I find to be easy to use. Its not confusing and is actually extremely organized. I think that the website has few choices, so it would be great if in the future Talbots can increase the amount of merchandise that they sell. I did like the fast delivery upon purchasing items, which is always a relief to have. The quality of the clothing is also good, although I have a problem with some of the over priced mommy jeans. That style should be discontinued. I did not have any negative experiences with using this site, and I would recommend it to others. Its always great to have stores that specifically sell clothing for plus size women. It oftentimes makes shopping so much more easier!
