Cheap food and great public transportation

Taipei is one of the most thriving cities in Asia, and it is a great place to visit that is budget-friendly and can give you a taste of Asia without the culture shock. The extensive public transporation system gets you anywhere you possibly need to go, and it even features the locations in English under the Chinese letters. If you go to Taipei, must-sees are the 101 Building, which was the tallest building in the world until recently eclipsed by another building in Dubai and also features high-end retail shopping, and Shilin NIght Market, which is a funhouse of cheap food and drinks, games, and very cheap (and knock-off) shopping.
