Taco Bell Home Originals Soft Taco Dinner Review

My boys like Taco Bell better than more authentic Mexican restaurants. What can a Mom do? So, we eat Taco Bell and occasionally hit a non-fast food Mexcian restaurant.

The boys like tacos at home too, so when I saw Taco Bell Home Originals, I decided to buy the Soft Taco dinner. They like the soft tacos the best, so that was an easy decision.

The Taco Bell dinner has 10 soft taco shells, seasoning, and sauce. I like that it has 10 shells. I'm pretty sure that some have only 8 and that doesn't quite do it here.

When I was cooking the meat, I could definately tell this was Taco Bell. It smelled just like Taco Bell.

The taste was close too. My meat is meatier meat, but I use a fork to try to crumble it fine. It's never quite as fine as the Taco Bell meat. I like chunks, but the boys like it very crumbly just like Taco Bell.

The soft taco shells are a bit sturdier than other brands which was good. They heated well and wrapped without making much of a mess. It's just hard to do tacos without some mess.

The taco wraps are awfully small. I took a photo with my hand for comparison. To be fair, I must admit that I have long fingers. So, you may want to think of a male hand. I only wear a 7 ring, but my fingers do go on forever. Anyway, it will give you an idea of the size.

This was a nice dinner pack. I'd buy it again but more likely the different items if I can find them as separates. We really like the larger burrito size wraps. Maybe Taco Bell will make some of those. I'd go with those, seasoning and sauce and then cook as needed/wanted rather than a packaged dinner.
