Taco Bell Cheesy Beefy Melt Review

I have a confession to make:  I love Taco Bell.  It's my guilty pleasure.  It was the fast food of choice when I was in high school and when I get together with my BFF from high school we always seem to find ourselves making a 2am run for the border before the night is over.  Sometimes my dear husband even makes the run for us (probably to get away from the giggles and goofiness) and joins us in our late night feast. 

After seeing commercials for the Cheesy Beefy Melt a few weeks ago we tried it on our latest run and really liked it.  It's very cheesy but not so cheesy that when you bite it the cheese creates long strings like in the commercial.  It's the perfect combination of seasoned beef, seasoned rice, sour cream, and tons of cheese all wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla.  The cheese is really melty and yummy.  The commercial features the song I Melt With You so as a product of the 80s that song sucks me right in as well.

The Cheesy Beefy Melt (not crazy about the name) is quite large as well. I usually just get that and a medium drink and am good to go.  It's also easy to eat in the car as the tortilla ends are folded over and tucked in so the ingredients don't leak out. 

As for nutritional information, you don't really want to know.  About half the calories one should eat in a day and nearly all the fat.  There's not a veggie in sight and nothing at all healthy, but it's so good that an occasional splurge is OK.  And it's only $1.99.
