The Taco Bell Value Menu is a great way to sample Taco Bell menu items. One of the cheapest items is the Cheese rollup. It costs 79 cents. It is basically a small tortilla filled that is filled with cheese and rolled. Purchased with a drink and other menu items, the cheese rollup is a nice, and cheap, addition. By itself, however, the cheese rollup is too small to serve as either a meal or a snack. In fact, based on the size of the item, I would argue that it is overpriced. Years ago, a restaurant named Zapata, which subesquently was renamed Zantigo, featured an item called the Chilito. The best description was that it was a cheese rollup on serious steroids. It was about the size of the current Fiesta Burrito, but it was filled with cheese and was enough for a snack or meal. While I applaud Taco Bell for adding the cheese rollup to the menu, I also lament that they could have made it bigger. The chicken burrito is only ten cents more, it is much bigger and it can easily serve as a meal by itself.
