A Baker's Dozen of quilt patterns are in TWIN PEAKS. As with most quilting books, it begins with eight pages of basic techniques including how to make the "Twin Peak" block. If you are just learning to quilt, this is a great section to read. If you are a more advanced quilters, you never know when a technique might need to be reviewed.
In looking at the "Twin Peak" block and comparing that to a Quarter Square Triangle Pair, I do not find any difference. Maybe this is just Gayle's way of making QS Triangles quicker and easier and the traditional method.
