When I let my 3 and 4 year old watch a little TV this is the show we watch! They love it and I feel pretty good about letting them watch it since it is introducing them to phonics and reading. We like to write down the words they use and review them later. The characters and story lines are cute and entertaining,
Modern Family
Modern Family is one of the best new comedy shows of the season. The gay couple w/Lily make me laugh, esp. when they are dressing her up in wigs & taking pictures of her. The son in law that stole that kids bike to teach his son a lesson was funny. And the man that played Al Bundy. He's great in his role w/the young, beautiful Columbian wife & stepson.
My Name is Earl
My Name is Earl is hysterical! There is such a plethura of Jerry Springer type characters on the show. What I love best is, Earl is trying to do the right thing & make up for previous wrongs.
The Deadliest Catch
I discovered Deadliest Catch a couple of years ago when there was a marathon on Discovery Channel and I was hooked. I watched it from 12 noon until 11 pm that night, non stop. The bravery that these men &their crews show, amazes me. My favorite boat is The Time Bandit, with The Cornelia Marie coming in a close second. My husbands favorite boat is The Northwestern. He said if he ever went out on a crabbing boat, Sig would be the one he would want to be with.
Deadliest Catch is my all time favorite TV show and people that don't watch it, have no idea what they're missing.
Ace of Cakes TV Show
Duff & the crew never cease to amaze me w/the cakes they make every week. They are talented. I wish I had the gift to decorate cakes like they do. My favorite of all time was the library cart. It was simply amazing!
Cold Case.
I started watchng Cold Case years ago and truly enjoy the show. It reminds me of a jigsaw puzzle and the detectives have to put the pieces together. When you think you have solved the crime or the murder another twist happens and you find out that it is not the person you suspected. The only problem that I have with the show is that it comes on at 10:00 on Sunday nights and when there is a football game, there may be a 15 to 20 minute delay. Last year the show came on at 9:00 which was a good time. I will probably miss some of the episodes until the football season is over.
Three Rivers
I started watching Three Rivers in hopes that I would not like it. After the first episode I got hooked. The show reminds people the importance of organ donations. Many people are afraid to be an organ donor because they believe they need all of their organs when they die. This show lets people know that you don't need to die in order to an organ donor. I renewed my driver's license last week and I have been an organ donor for several years. I also convinced a young man who was renewing his license to become an organ donor. Nurse Jackie
Nurse Jackie finished it's first season on Showtime and is a fabulous hit. It is the story of a nurse that is caring while also addicted to pain killers and xanax. She is fooling around wiht the hospital pharmacist, although married with two children. The plot is always fast moving and fun. She is so likable with a smart mouth and confidence in her abilities to care for the ER patients. As strong a character as she portrays, there is also a softer side to her that peeks out occassionally. Last season ended with her apparently overdosing after her hospital boyfriend meets her husband. ...

Lipstick Jungle
Whatever happened to this great show? I saw only a few episodes and was beginng to get into it and then there was no more! I loved these beautiful and successful career women with their stylish clothes, smarts and men problems. I felt there was a bit of fantasy me in each. Each of them had a little of me and also some characteristics of who I wanted to be. I liked the hardworking career woman who was more succesful than her unemployed husband. Ghost Hunters
Jason and Grant, Roto-Rooter guys by day and Ghost Hunters by night. Two skeptical guys who have a small team of ghost hunters who travel all over the United States and some other countries in previous episodes trying to debunk problems and explain if your dealing with something paranormal. I have been watching this show for years and I cannot get enough of it! If you are a non-believer you must watch this show a few times and you will be hooked! I truly enjoy Fringe. It's well acted and well written and wonderfully wierd. It began sort of strange and has been moving closer and closer to beyond the fringe with each subsequent episode. Anna Torv (Olivia) and Joshua Jackson (Peter) somehow are able to make all these wierd goings on seem matter of fact. John Nobel is a wonderful mad scientist and a kind of sexy senior citizen. Now that Leonard Nemoy has joined the cast I just can't wait to see what will happen next. Bravo to FOX for bringing SciFi back to network primetime.
Charmed
I LOVED Charmed! It was one of my and my oldest daughters favorite shows! We used to be able to watch it together! She is off at college now, and I sent the entire series to her on DVD in her first few care packages, because I knew it would be something that she would love and it would be like a taste of home. The only sad thing about the show that we could think of was the ending, we felt that they did that kind of poorly, they ended it badly, with the children and everything kind of thrown together kind of slopily at the ending very quickly.
