Tresemme 2 in 1 is fine if you're not demanding a lot out of a shampoo or a conditioner.  If you need a specialty shampoo or conditioner for special hair issues, it's not going to really be the best choice.  But if you're just looking for a cheap, convenient, 2 in 1 product for normal hair or use other products to serve the specialty functions, it's a great choice.

I originally bought the Tresemme because they sponsored Project Runway (in prior seasons, the newest season's hair product sponsor is Garnier) and I liked the results they got on Runway, so I figured it was worth a try.  I tried it and liked it okay.  When my husband ran out of his usual shampoo, he gave mine a try, and he liked it even more than I did.  He loved the convenience of only needing the one product.  For his short, normal texture, manageable, good condition, low-maintance hair, it's a really great product.  His hair is clean and shiny and soft.

My hair is super long and curly and frizzy and has issues, so while the shampoo is fine when used in conjunction with all my other specialty products, I don't think it would really do the entire job up to my glamour standards all alone.  It's even fine for me by itself for just everyday going to work type days where my hair just needs to be clean and somewhat groomed, but for when I actually get "fixed up", it's not quite enough.  I still have to use my leave in conditioners and de-poofers and de-frizzers and curl enhancers and the like.  But the Tresemme is a cheap, fast, easy, good base product to use with all that stuff.

The smell is very unisex.  It's a typical "shampoo" scent.  It isn't too pronounced and fades fairly quickly (gone by the time the hair is fully dry).  It's not a fancy fragrance, but it smells fine.

It's very inexpensive, like I think it was around 6 dollars for a large bottle (like twice as big your average bottle).  I only saw it available in the large bottle, though.  It's widely available in drug and discount stores.  That's nice.  You don't have to find it at beauty supply stores or the salon or specialty shop.

If you're looking for a replacement for a high-end specialty fragrance shampoo or specialty shampoo or conditioner to deal with special hair issues, it's not going to replace those.  But if you're looking for a replacement for two or more average products for low-maintanence everyday hair care, I recommend trying it.  If you're a glam goddess with intense and exacting beauty product requirements, it's going to be barely average or below par.  If you're a guy or a girl with a more "wash and wear" approach to hair, I recommend trying it.
