I was in a rush to get out the door, and I sent my husband to grab me some dry shampoo. This is what he brought me back. I followed the instructions to a T, and when I looked in the mirror, all that I could think was, "Oh my gosh...........Eewww!". My hair look absolutely disgusting. Instead of absorbing oils, it added several to it! It looked like I put vegetable oil on my hands and then slicked it through my hair. Gross! I tried blow drying it, using my straightener...anything to get this mess out of my hair, to no avail. I was trying tot save time (I had a picc line in and it was seriously a big deal to wash my hair on my own, so I had been really excited to try this product for in between washes. Save your money and don't bother with this. I have since tried another brand, and although your hair has a bit of a funny texture, you get TONS of volume and oil absorption at the same time. I love other TRESemme products and use them daily, but this one just didn't make the cut :(

I use dry shampoo on my hair frequently. I don't like to wash my hair more than 3 times a week and sometimes my hair tends to get oily and is in need of a few sprays of dry shampoo. My hair is naturally coarse and wavy/curly and tends to get oily at my temples through to behind my ears after about 2 days. I will give my hair a few sprays of dry shampoo, brush it through and I am good to go for another day. I was pleased with two other brands of dry shampoo thay I have tried. I decided to give the Tresemme Fresh Start dry shampoo a chance because it was on sale and I like a few other fresh start products from that line. I was not very pleased with it. It left my hair with tons of buildup right after using which I have never had happen with other dry shampoos. My hair was sticky and stiff and the product didn't brush through as I assumed it would have. The scent was pleasant. It didn't linger in my hair which I prefer. It did soak up oil and make my hair look clean, but it didn't last for long and at the end of the day my hair was sticky and stiff and oily. Normally, I will get a good day and half out of my hair with dry shampoo. I will not be trying this again nor will I recommend it. Effectiveness Soaks up oil but doesn't last long. Scent Pleasant enough to use, doesn't linger.

After purchasing this dry shampoo I was very happy with the results. Not only did my hair smell clean it had a wonderful shine after using the product. It did not miss a spot on my head and even helped with my scalp. I love the size of it too because it lasts for ever and works wonders. Normal shampoos leave my hair looking like it came from a barrel of hay but this one made my hair calm, smooth and looking new. This is probably the only shampoo I will be using from now on and will get rid of the rest. It is great for when you are on the road and need a quick wash without water. It serves it purpose and leaves a smile on my face. Effectiveness It is the best dry shampoo I have tried and lasts a long time. This is great considering i dont have time to wash my hair everyday. Scent Its very effective and and leaves a clean fresh smelling scent to which you wont find with most other shampoos out there.

I wish I would have looked at reviews prior to buying this product. It was my first time trying a dry shampoo and I haven't tried one since due to the bad experience. I have fairly thin hair but it is pretty dry because I damage it with dying, blow drying, and flat ironing it. I found the TRESemme FreshStart Dry Shampoo at Wal-Mart and it wasn't very expensive. I'd like to note I've always liked TRESemme due to their cheap prices and fairly good products. This dry shampoo on the other hand...NO. I really dislike it. I followed the instructions as directed. It didn't really do anything to my hair besides make it all gunky. Like when I ran my comb through it there was a gross looking substance on it and later in the day my scalp got flakey. I thought I must have used it incorrectly so I tried it on a few other occasions with the same results. It just left a gross buildup on my scalp. It makes your hair gross. I really would not recommend this product and it seems like a lot of other reviewers on here also had bad experiences. I'm really wanting to try another type of dry shampoo but I haven't worked up the nerve to do so yet.

This dry shampoo is incredibly white when sprayed. It is bright white, and is definitely not good for people with darker hair. Even when you work it in and brush it out, which is very difficult, there is still a light white residue left that never goes away until you wash it. It soaks up oil decently, but after days of not washing I need it to be stronger. There is still some oil that can be seen, unless I completely coat my hair. It has a fruity citrus scent that I do not hate, but I do not particularly like it that much. It gets rid of the oily smell though. I forced myself to use the whole bottle so it would not be wasted, and it only lasted about a month after using it about two times a week. There is not very much product at all. The mist is not very spread out and it tends to clump together in one area, even when sprayed from far away. It helps make my hair stay in place when I style it though. It gives it some texture and makes messy hairstyles form better.

This was the first dry shampoo I tried, and I bought this one specifically because a lot of "beauty gurus" on youtube had recommended it. For these reasons, I thought that the product was a good representative of what an average to a little above average dry shampoo is like upon first use. However, after trying other products of the same category (Not Your Mother's and Oscar Blandi), I realized my first impression was too generous. I would give this a lower rating (4 or 5) if it were not for the very affordable price and how accessible it is. That being said, however, I would tell anyone who is looking for an affordable drugstore-available dry shampoo to purchase the Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo over this one. Effectiveness The product actually made my hair feel heavier. I could feel that there was something in my hair, even after brushing through all of my hair to get some of it out of the root-section of my head. Scent The scent isn't too special. Honestly, I don't really even remember what it smells like but I know that it was not overpowering or generally offensive. It has a rather predictable scent for a dry shampoo.

I was excited when I saw that Tresemme came out with a dry shampoo. I use many other products from this line and thought this product would be great. I was completely wrong. This product does not perform like a dry shampoo should. I have used dry shampoos from salon product lines that work great, however they can be very pricey. I have fine hair and oil tends to show up quickly when it is humid outside. This spray made my hair look worse. It does not absorb the oils and left my hair looking wet and full of oil. Once the spray dries, it starts to crack and look like dandruff on your hair. Its a horrible mess. The scent is not the best either and I would think the scent would be one of the most important aspects of this product, since it should be used on dirty hair. Effectiveness I was very disappointed with this product and would not recommend using it at all. Scent Scent is stale smelling and makes your hair smell worse.

I purchased this dry shampoo in a trial size bottle that was available at my local store to carry around in my purse. I had never tried this brand of dry shampoo before and thought it would be as good as my regular Suave brand that I use on a consistent basis. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Not only does this dry shampoo not effectively work by removing oil from the hair... it doesn't even have a pleasant scent to it. This dry shampoo has a strong perfume type aroma that smells chemically. Upon using this product, I followed directions exactly as stated on the bottle. You're suppose to shake the can vigorously, hold inches away from your hair and start spraying your roots. After doing so, I noticed no difference in the texture of my hair other than it feeling slightly damp. I would not recommend this product nor will I ever purchase it again. Effectiveness TRESemme FreshStart dry shampoo is absolutely non effective and does not work as it should to freshen hair. It just simply is not a good choice when it comes to buying a good dry shampoo. Scent This product has a very unpleasant and potent scent to it that I did not find appealing at all.

I've tried a ton of dry shampoos, but this one didn't really work for me. I didn't absorb oil in my hair. Instead it left my hair feeling weighed down and gritty. I also found this dry shampoo difficult to wash out of my hair in the shower. I often had to shampoo my hair twice to get this product out. I'd skip this if you're looking for a product to keep your style going between washes. I'm not a fan. Effectiveness I'm not a fan of this product at all. I find that it doesn't do much for second, third, and fourth day hair. My hair, however, does get pretty oily, so this product might be great for someone who only have a little bit of oil to do away with. I find that this product left a white film on my hair no matter how much I tried to blend it. I have light blonde hair, so I definitely don't recommend this to girls with dark hair; it will leave a white-cast. Scent I really didn't find this product had much of a scent. It didn't linger in my hair like most dry shampoo scents do.

We've all heard it: Over washing can dry out hair, stripping the hair of its natural oils, and so on and so forth. Wouldn't dry shampoo, a "shampoo" consisting of spray on powder to absorb those natural oils, also dry out hair the same way? Not TreSemme! This powder when sprayed on roots as well as down the strand helps get rid of greasy buildup from conditioner while still leaving hair looking healthy and shiny. It is most effective when used in on that day in between washes, or just after a gym sweat session or sometime when you need to get rid of that gross grease. I would not recommend using it on the same day you washed your hair, as that probably will start to dry it out. Effectiveness It gets rid of the grease and leaves hair looking healthy and shiny, especially when sprayed down the strand along with the roots. However, the one downside is it sometimes leaves a powdery trail on your roots if you don't brush it all the way through. This is difficult for curly hairstyles that don't need to be brushed! Curly haired ladies: spray just a little on the roots and work it down with your fingers to avoid the noticeable powder residue and keep your curls intact! Scent The fresh scent is amazing, and lasts throughout the day. No one will know you didn't shower when they smell your hair: fresh and clean and beautiful!
