History
TMZ started out as an online entertainment news site. All the best news and gossip was shown on this site almost as soon as it happened. It didn't matter whether it was a simple picture, a video, or just some interesting gossip, TMZ.com always had it. Then TMZ on TV started in late 2007 and quickly became my favorite place to get entertainment news.
Format
The format of the show is what makes it interesting. They don't waste time with history and build up for every story. Instead, they quickly jump from one story to the next showing one video of celebs to another picture of some other celebs. They link it all together with their workers at the office as each one jumps in to tell what "they got" or what they caught on camera.
Humor
The TMZ crew is very funny. They are looking to make us laugh by showing these celebs instead of other entertainment news shows that try to make us feel sorry for the celebs. They have certain celebs they pick on more than others but that just makes it even more funny as you get used to seeing certain people again on various episodes.
Overall
Probably the best part of this show is that there are no limits to what they will show. Sometimes the clip or picture isn't that funny or interesting, but they only show it so quickly that you get to see something funny in the next clip and you get over it. They will show anything they caught on tape, no matter how dumb or stupid it may be. It's better than a gossip newspaper because they are not telling any lies or interviewing "friend of a friend of celeb". Instead they just show you what you caught on tape and let you figure out for yourself what to make of it! TMZ.com is still cool, but for me I prefer the TV show since it lays out all the stories in one 30-60 minute episode. Check out TMZ on Fox and enjoy!!
