THE TAKER AND THE KEEPER —

I have always loved the "Arthur Legend" which is the story THE TAKER AND THE KEEPER is based on.

With a red monocle and his friend Yolanda, Gregory stumbles upon a "hole" to the past.  There they find Merlin without memory or magic.  Yolanda had just been reading about the Arthur Legend before they went through the hole.  She realizes how out of character of the story the people and their village are.

There is no sword in the stone for Arthur to draw out.  Without his memory, Merlin can't perform his great magic and Morgan le Fay is taking over.  By learning to overcome fears and doing the right thing, Gregory and Yolanda, along with help from Merlin and Arthur, set the story right again.

This is a very good book to present the Arthur Legend to a young child and teach them how and why they should do the right thing.
