T-Mobile - Sidekick LX Cell Phone —

Welllllllll......it's just ok. I thought about getting a blackberry and that's what I wish I had gotten. I was lured in by the Sidekick plan that was much more affordable for all the features it included. What i discovered is that the Sidekick isn't so great. As a phone, it's hard to hear people on the other end, so I only use it if I have to for phone calling. The mute button is also in a place where I always push it when I'm on the phone and then it's hard to get back on track.

I like the big screen a lot, but was disappointed to find out that i can't customize the background with my own photos. I do like that I can change the "screen saver." And, because it has a big screen, it requires a larger battery, whcih equals a very heavy device. Not a pocket-friendly phone, for sure. It ends up in the bottom of my purse because it's so heavy! Then, when the battery needs charging, which is often, it takes a LONG time.

I do a lot of texting and the keyboard seemed like the right solution for me, which is why i was in the market for a blackberry/sidekick/or similar. The keys are very small and hard to press. Blackberry also has small buttons, but they depress easily.

Comibne the difficulty of using the keyboard, with the heavy weight of the device, and the days of one-handed texting are gone! ugh!

I also thought the "switch blade" screen motion was really neat, but it's actually a pain - particularly if I'm driving, doing stuff around the house, or taking care of my daughter. I can't get the screen closed with one hand and with it open, It's awkward to talk on the phone.

I like having all my email accounts on there and with separate tabs for each account. That's a smart feature. Some people have said they have trouble with memory for email and texting, but I bought a 4G micro SD sor mine and have TONS of storage for pictures, video, emails, whatever...

Still, I can't wait to get something else! The blackberry would be so much better for me! I end up using my husband's for internet anyway - it's so much faster than the Sidekick!!
