I bought this phone back in September of 2006.  I was excited to get a PDA and I was more excited when I found out that this phone offered WiFi (that is why I went with it instead of paying for the extra service with a Blackberry).  I went on different websites and saw that, for the most part, it got good reviews.  After careful review, I slapped down the $200+ T-Mobile charged me (even though my contract was up AND I had been a loyal customer since 2004) and was eager to use my phone.

When I received it, I guess I hadn't realized how difficult it actually would be to make a phone call.  The actual screen was finicky and it was difficult to connect up to the interent - even though we have a wifi connection in our household.  It was NOTHING like I had planned.  It was very UN-user friendly and I found it difficult to even keep track of appointments and such USING the phone (it was fine when I was able to sync it up to my computer and make appointments and such that way).  I found myself fumbling with the phone all the time when it was time to punch in an appointment and I never really "got it" even though I consider myself VERY technologically advanced.  It definietly was nothing what I had thought it was going to be.

Not only is the phone hard to use as a PDA, but it's hard to use as a phone.  My phone, even though I always had it locked and in it's case - would constantly call people.  It made for a lot of interesting conversations when some of my friends picked up on some of the conversations I was having or the occasional signing in the car was caught, unknowingly, by my WONDERFUL T-Mobile MDA.

When Vista came out, I made a phone call to T-Mobile asking them if they were going to make available the new application that would make it able to sync my contacts, appointments, etc to my MDA and I was assured by more than one agent that even though it wasn't available at the time (this was January, 2007) - it would be made available.  A couple months went by and I made another call to T-Mobile explaning that I really wanted to upgrade my PC to Vista and that I would need the new software in order for everything to work importing and exporting to my MDA - they ensured me that they had heard that it would be available in a couple weeks so stupid me - upgraded my PC.  T-Mobile NEVER made the compatible software available for the MDA and Vista and surprise, surprise - I was unable to then sync my contacts and information to my MDA making my MDA useless.

I have since made many complaints to T-Mobile explaining that this is awful service but - alas - the do not support NOR do they sell the T-Mobile MDA anymore.  After googling the T-Mobile MDA I found that I was not the ONLY unsatisfied customer and this was happening to many others everywhere with their T-Mobile MDAs.  I'm not surprised.

seems to me that many companies just build things to make money and not to give customers the support for them. Thats progress for ya! Thanks for sharing. Ron
