T-Mobile - Dash Cell Phone —

Being an owner of the Sidekick 2 and 3, I decided it was time for a change. The Sidekick was limited in apps I could install due to a less common OS. What initially drew me to the T-Mobile Dash was a combination of a Windows Mobile Smartphone and the design. Why do I have such a thing for Windows Mobile? The advantages of such an OS are that software availability and programmers are much more common and there's almost an unlimited amount of software you can choose from - free and pay. I've already installed many apps on my phone and am so glad I made the switch.

It takes some time getting used to the QWERTY keyboard because the keys are much closer together than that of my old Sidekick. But with time and practice, one can get the hang of it. At first, you'll be pressing buttons you didn't intend to press.

The camera is superb. Not only does it take high quality pictures, but you can also film video clips on there too!

Grab your favorite MP3 and transfer it over to make it your ringtone. (Many other phone providers charge you to buy a ringtone)

A downside is the voice touch strip. You will find yourself increasing and decreasing the volume as you talk because of the placement of your hand while in a conversation. I had to turn mine off because of this nuisance.

The screen is bright and vibrant with colors.

The browser is slick and you can switch between different views until you find the one that's easiest on your eyes.

The speakerphone is excellent and clear. Bluetooth headsets on this device also sound crisp.

Battery life could be better, but I found a 1050 MaH battery for my phone on eBay which is a longer lasting battery.

Everyone that has seen my phone loves it because it's not bulky like the Blackberrys. It's so lightweight and comfortable.
