I never tried a deep fryer until I was given this from a friend that was getting married and received 2 as a gift for her wedding. I enjoy friend shrimp and friend chicken and generally made it on the stove. The downside to using the stove is the grease mess everywhere. This prevents that grease mess, but now you have to deal with a decent size piece of kitchen equipment that you must now figure out where to store it and also what to do with the grease when you are done. I just feel like the deep fryer is a commitment, if it is something you are going to use once a week, probably worth it. To me it is not worth it to drag it out 4 times a year then let it collect dust again for another few months. As for the product, it is quality made by a quality brand and I have had no problems with the way that it functions. Produces good quality food and have not had issues with oil temperature. Performance No problems thus far. Cooks food well and nice golden brown color. Ease of Use Easy enough to use once you get the hang of it. Durability Holding up so far so good. Ease of Cleaning Are any of them easy to clean?? It could be worse....

I have had the T-FAL deep fryer for about 6 years and I am very happy with this product. All of the other fryers I have had over the years have been Fry Daddies or Fry Babies and I wish I had bought the T-FAL sooner. It is definitely easier to use overall. It has a vented top so you can cover whatever you are frying and not have to worry about splashing grease. The temperature control makes it easy to fry the correct foods at the correct temperature. There is nothing worse than chicken fried on the outside, but still uncooked in the middle. The basket is larger and the long handle makes getting the food out of the basket easier. The only real complaint I have is that food sometimes sticks to the basket, especially if you have breaded the item you are frying. It takes a little while to heat up to the correct temperature, so make sure the light is on before you place any food in the basket. It also stores easily under the cabinet and is fairly easy to clean.

I don't use the fryer as much as I did when I first got it, which was about 6 years ago. For a fryer, it is great! I love the removable basket--which negates the need for a spyder or slotted spoon to get the food out. The lid keeps oil from splattering. The cord has a safety feature that would cause it to be unplugged if tripped over--leaving the hot oil on the counter. I have washed the fryer a couple of times to get all the stuck on gunk out. It cleans up nicely. The inside is scratched from the hooks of the basket, but not enough to affect the integrity of the appliance. I do find that even with new oil, using the fryer causes the house to smell like oil for days, so we only use it on the back porch. The temperature setting could be a little more sophisticated, but for most things I cook on hot as possible anyway, so not that big of a deal. The outside is a cool-touch, so I don't have to worry about little fingers) or big fingers getting burned. Overall, if you are in the market for a fryer, give this one a try!

The T-Fal deep fryer is a great product and I am glad I found it. This deep fryer is one of the best I have had. It has many features. First, it has a cord that comes off completely for easy storage and safety. It also has a light to indicate when it is the correct temperature. The deep fryer has a temperature setting and a lid with a vent. It has a removable basked and the interior shell itself can be removed for easy cleaning. The handle folds down and does not stick out making it compact and easy to use and store. It has come in handy for things like cheese sticks, donuts, french fries and anything else you could possibly want that needs to be fried. By pricing around it can be a little expensive depending on where you find the item, but beings it is a good brand you get what you pay for. I was lucky to get a bargain at a garage sale and I absolutely love mine. I do not know what I did using the other deep fryers that were difficult to clean and the cord and fryer did not come apart. This truely is a good invention.

I recently replaced my old deep fryer because it was getting so dirty and hard to clean, I said forget it and got a new one. I went with a T-Fal Fry Expert that I assumed would be good for french frys. The T-Fal has both up and down sides. First, for the very reason I replaced my old fryer, this one is tops! The metal oil container is removable and can be washed seperately. This is probably the number one feature, but there's more. Secondly, it's designed to encourage you to use it closed top, so it comes with a filter that you put in the lid and it's supposed to filter out the cooking smell. It seems to work, but I'm not sure if I'll bother replacing it. Lastly, this fryer is much slower to heat up than my previous. I'd say it takes about 12 minutes to heat up to maximum temperature from cold. Overall, this is a good fryer for cleaning, but slow to heat up.

As a busy parents, we look for easy convenient cooking and cleaning methods.  Deep frying is fun for the kids, easy and convenient.  Because this product has a removable tub and removable basket, it makes it easy to use and easy to clean up after.  The basket from the Tfal deep fryer can go right into the dishwasher--always a bonus in a busy household.  The other feature that I really enjoy is the safety that the lid provides.  Not only does the lid help to filter the smell of that "just deep fried" smell but it also limits the splatter of grease.  This is a huge help in trying to maintain a busy lifestlye with children and a clean cooking environment.  Our family would reccomend this product to anyone with children--for safety and convenience.  We use ours at least once a week and for those late night weekend snacks! We would use it daily except for that "trying to healthy" factor too. I also believe that Tfal products offer money back guarantees.  We don't know because we are NEVER getting rid of ours!
