Just bought my 537H HD television and was real dissappointed to find out I was getting the shaft from DirectTV and I could get an HDMI signal unless I paid them ANOTHER mint for new equipment. Olevia to the rescue! This unit really does an excellent job with the coax and the Component video (from the DVD player) signal. Price...let me rave about pricing. Sure you can drop $1.5k on some Sony or top name and get a little better contrast ratio; but for crying out loud - I busted a single large and came home with enough change to pay for the HDMI cable (for later). Iv read other reviews and heard moaning about the "blue light" wehn the unit is powered off...pleeeeeeeeeaaaase - my watch is brighter. The source button requires cycling around and if you overshoot you have to go all the way around....wahhhhhhhhhh..boohoo.
OK - if you have a $7k audio system and $12k invested in a theatre room then go buy the top model and quit reading reviews. If you are a real person and have a few dollars left at the end of ONE payday...go get the Olevia.
