Symantec Norton AntiVirus —

When I first got my computer, I downloaded a FREE AntiVirus program from Road Runner. I think it was McAffee.  Well, I contracted a virus within the first month and had to have my entire computer emptied out and "disinfected".

Afterwards, I spent the money for Norton, and haven't had any trouble since. When I'm using Norton, I know it's watching out for me.  It lets me know when there's been a threat to my computer, or when I'm about to go on a site that isn't safe.  I get updates automatically, and notices when my service is about to expire.  That way, I'm never without protection.

Yes, definately spend a little money for a good anti-virus software.  You'll be glad you did.  The Norton edition I just download, the newest one, actually had a little extra to it.  I paid about $ 70.00 extra to have Norton clean out my computer & get rid of whatever was slowing it down.  They come on periodically & check everything out and make sure my computer runs at it's best.

I used McAffee for a while but it kept locking up my computer, then I got Norton and have been happy ever since. I also use Spy Sweeper and with Norton and it together I have no worries anymore. ;)
