Symantec Norton 360 Reviews

Symantec has always been the software that I trust to protect my computer systems. Last year, I used Symantec's Norton Internet Security to protect my laptop. I needed protection when I'm on the Internet. I liked Norton Internet Security, but it slowed down and locked up my laptop all the time. When my subscription ran out this year, I decided to try the new version of Norton 360. I've read good things about this software.

Symantec Norton 360 is a comprehensive automated protection program. I have used other software only to have my computer done in by some virus. For anyone who has had their computer taken down by a virus, this is a life saver.

I had an email virus absolutely destroy a computer and the message was from a friend. The virus attacked the core memory and I lost absolutely everything that was on the computer. The hard drive had to be reformated twice. Not only the inconvenience of the reformatting but all the software had to be reinstalled.

I'm not a huge fan of security software systems, which tend to put a bit of a "drag" on a system when performing copious background tasks.  After my last experience with McAfee, I wasn't sure if I ever wanted protection again.  "I'll buy my own security software" I had told the Yahoo tech but everything worked so much better without that I had rolled the dice and remained unprotected for months, living with my virtual front door unlocked and standing wide open.  Fortunately, sanity returned and I installed Norton 360 by Symantec.

We really like the Norton 360 interface; it's unlike the interface used on the rest of the Norton 2007 product line. The UI for Norton 360 is clean, intuitive, and no-nonsense. A toolbar across the top allows quick access to scans, configuration for tasks, access to your Norton online account, in-program Help, and technical support. Below that, there's a line that displays any current system alerts, such as configuring your backup and recovery options.
