Symantec
Norton 360

Symantec has always been the software that I trust to protect my computer systems. Last year, I used Symantec's Norton Internet Security to protect my laptop. I needed protection when I'm on the Internet. I liked Norton Internet Security, but it slowed down and locked up my laptop all the time. When my subscription ran out this year, I decided to try the new version of Norton 360. I've read good things about this software.

About The Symantec Norton 360~
Norton 360
is an all-in-one security that provides protection for your PC, your online activities, and your important information. It runs quietly in the background, detects and blocks viruses, spyware, hackers, and other online threats. It delivers protection without confusing security alerts that interrupt your computing experience.

Norton 360 protects you from identity theft and phishing scams by verifying trusted websites and blocking fake ones. Its new Identity Safe securely manages logins, passwords, and other sensitive information such as credit card numbers and fills in forms automatically when shopping or banking online. It has a renewable subscription that protects up to three computers.

The new Norton 360 network security feature monitors the security status of your wireless network and alerts you when you connect to an unsecured network. It also automatically optimizes and maintains your computer for peak performance. It protects your data by making it easy to back up photos, music, and financial records. You can restore them at any time. You can back up your files to CD, DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-Ray Disc, iPod, and USB devices. You can also set up automatic backups to an attached hard drive or a secured online storage service to protect your files.

Norton 360 automatically schedules key functions such as scans, backups, and tune-ups that occur in the background so they will not interfere with your computing activities. The new version features faster scanning and less memory usage, which gives Norton 360 a combination of speed and protection.

My Viewpoint
I've been using Norton 360 for a couple of months and I havenā€˜t experienced any problems. My laptop has been running much faster since I switched to Norton 360. What I like about this product is the scans run in the background with no interruption. I don't even notice it running half the time. It uses far less memory resources. I feel safe and protected with this new software. I don't have to worry when I'm on the Internet about any online threats. This is the best Symantec software that I have used so far.

I would highly recommend Norton 360 to anyone who owns a computer to protect it from all those nasty viruses and other Internet intrusions. I bought Norton 360 at Staples for $69.99. However, you can order it much cheaper through amazon.com for $49.99 and you even get FREE shipping. I give it 5 stars!

I was beginning to think I was the only one that uses Norton 360. Thanks for reading the review and commenting. ;-)

It was LisaCarey that gave me the idea to write a review on my antivirus software. I read her review the other day. I had used NIS last year and it was always slowing down or locking up my laptop, which is the problem she is having I think. I sent Lisa a comment about which software that I have been using.

It must be nice to have a relative that has experience in computers. I have one too my brother! I also studied computers in college. For eight years, I worked at a college in the computer dept. I was a computer help specialist. If anyone had a problem with software or hardware, they would call me. I would direct them how to solve the problem and sometimes I had to go fix it myself. If I didn't know how, then I would direct the call to one of the more experient computer specialist. My experience was in software. I knew a little bit of hardware stuff. Guess what, my family especially my parents are always asking me to fix their computers. They live close by. My brother lives in Tennessee. ~Krista Lynn

Sounds like you and LisaCarey are sending review ideas from coast to coast. She just did a antivirus program too! I have been looking at something at Wal-Mart that only costs $19.99. Hmm...I guess I should run that by my brother-in-law first. He is a computer specialist. ~Gigi
