Swiffer WetJet Starter Kit® —

I got the Wet Jet almost as soon as it hit the market. I only have my husband and myself to pick up after, and it seemed a good product to keep things tidy around the house. I was willing to go the extra cost, as it looked like it would simplify my floor cleaning routine... after all, there's just the two of us. Wrong! Not only does the battery run out so quickly, but I found that the motor that squirts the cleanser is unreliable! I had one that quit on me, and after trying to fix it with new batteries and failing, I realized it wasn't the batteries, it was the motor. The eternal optomist, I went out and got another one. Phooey! I didn't have that one working for more than 2 weeks, and it broke down, too. New batteries didn't work, and I felt really dumb for having gone out and bought another.  I am back to a mop and pail. It might be more fuss, but at least I know that there are no batteries to wear out and no motor to break down. I have found only one use for my disfunctional Wet Jet, though. I use it for applying my Mop N' Glow to the floors I have already mopped. I have a lot of pads I haven't used yet, but when the pads are gone, so is the Wet Jet!
