Living as I do in South Florida, the holy land of tile and laminate flooring, I find that I use my Swiffer Sweeper several times a week. The combination of hard-surface (white tile) and 24/7 use of central air-conditioning seems to make floor up-keep an almost continuous task.
I find that the Swiffer Sweeper is ideal for the task especially when used with some frequency. Used in this way you're not trying to tame an unruly hutch of dust bunnies that have been left free to multiply over the course of a month or two. That's right, the Swiffer Sweeper works best when used often.
The Refills

review »Swiffer Swiffer Sweeper Refills are hard floors' best friend! They easily pick up dust, dirt and dog hair in one clean sweep. Swiffer Swiffer Sweeper Refills are also great as a hand dust rag, specifically on ceiling fans and window sills. For best results, after swifting with Swiffer Swiffer Sweeper Refills, use a hand brush and pan to pick up the harder pieces of dirt. Swiffer Swiffer Sweeper Refills take out the physical discomfort of sweeping and clean up any hard surface quickly and easily!
I love the Swiffer Wet Refills but the Sweeper Refills are USELESS!! I use the wets to mop my hybrid-hardwood type dining room floor but only after I have swept up with a REGULAR old broom because the Swiffer Sweeper is completely ineffective. It's like a stick with a paper towel attached. Save yourself the money and just sweep with a regular broom.
I bought this thinking it would be a handy addition, but I wasn't that impressed. The set up in general is cheaply made and I think you almost get as good results from a broom, because you still need one to pick up what you swiffered. Anyway, the wet refills are ok but for the price I think there are better options.
