Swiffer Sweeper® Reviews

A woman was demonstrating the Swiffer Sweeper in the store one day, and I was so impressed with it's performance I had to buy one right then.  I couldn't believe the way it manuevered around chairs and tables!  And when the demonstration was over, and she showed us the amount of hair she picked up, I knew it was something I HAD to have.

This was several years ago, and I have been faithfully using my Swiffer Sweeper ever since.  The long handle allows you to reach far back behind furniture without having to break your back to do it.  And it really does keep hold of hair and dust, which is great...

This sweeper i went out and bought both the dry and wet wipes for it thinking hey, this ought to make things a bit simpler.

No. This item pretty much stunk. if you need to lightly dust your floors then its great. but for actually getting up lots of dirt or lots of dust no way. It is very simple to use, i will give it that much, but its not good for cleaning.

The wet ones are worse. forget cleaning up a simple spill or removing a food smudge on the floor. i had to stand there and scrub like a demon to get it to even make a slight dent. SO it totally ticked me off.

I would not waste your money on...

I have had my Swiffer Sweeper for years and really love it.  I mostly use it for quick clean ups in my bathroom because it is great for cleaning up dust and hair. 

I have also used the Swiffer Sweeper on my hardwood and tiled floors with average results.  If I'm only trying to clean up fur balls in the corners, then it does a great job.  However, if I want to do a really good clean up job and get all of the dirt up, I am relegated to using the broom and dustpan. 

Often with the Swiffer Sweeper, I feel like I am only pushing the dirt around into a pile, which then needs to be cleaned...

I love my Swiffer Sweeper. All I have to do is attach a cleaning cloth and off I go to clean up after my dog leaves hair lying around.  It is so easy that my grandchildren love to help me clean. They see the dirt and hair it picks up and have ask me if I vacuum. It is one of the best products that I have bought and would recommend it to anyone. It makes cleaning a lot easier.I have hardwood floors and ceramic tile and it is like a miracle mop since it picks up the hair and dust on the floor. I have a cloth dust mop and it does not compare to the Swiffer Sweeper. I can use the cloth dust mop and...

The Swiffer seems like a simple enough concept that makes me wonder who is making all the money off something so "easy" to think of.  I've had a Swiffer for about 5 years and have been impressed with the dust/dirt it picks up.  It (obviously) doesn't pick up chunks of dirt but it picks up ever piece of lint and dust on your floor.  The refills are expensive but I have tried the no-name version of them before and they're a totally different texture (and DON'T work) so you need to buy the Swiffer refills unless someone can tell me otherwise!  The ones I tried were Walmart's version in Canada. ...

While caregiving an elderly couple, they purchased the Swiffer.  Their home was almost entirely tile floors.  A regular mop would take so much time to dry and this could be hazardous, should they happen to enter the room.  I enjoyed cleaning!!!!  The product was lightweight, easy to use, easy to clean-up afterwards....in essence, a joy to work with!
