Reviewers appreciate Swiffer Sweep + Vac to the point of referring to it as "the shiznit for your floors." This combination broom and vacuum cleaner from Proctor & Gamble is a lifesaver for people who have tile or hardwood floors "that get dusty, dirty, and show every speck of pet hair." Others that have all tile and hardwood floors found that the battery on the Swiffer Sweep + Vac didn't last long enough to clean their entire house at once, as it only lasts about 15 to 20 minutes before it needs to be charged again. Others complain this Swiffer product doesn't pick up everything and suggest using the regular Swiffer Sweeper and uses a standard vacuum for the heavier cleaning.

Most HelpfulThe Swiffer Sweep & Vac is probably not worth the money for most. The handle and pole are light, flimsy aluminum tubing. The dust cup is tiny and has one of those fabric inserts that you have to pull the hair off of. It's not very powerful, and the battery does not hold a charge.
I had a house that...
read full review »I'm not a fan of floor cleaning but I also know it's one of those many dreaded household tasks that must be done on a regular basis. Sweeping floors with a broom isn't a pleasure, but it has been made easier by this device, Swiffer Sweep Vac, a combination broom and vacuum cleaner.
Sweeper Commentary:
Swiffer Vac is a handy product manufactured by our friends at Proctor & Gamble, one of the largest consumer goods companies in the world. Using a broom can often prove to be inefficient for sweeping a room, depending on the size of the room and the size/amount of particles that need to be picked up....
With hardwood floors throughout my home and small children, I am constantly on lookout for anythign to make my life easier. The Swifter Sweep and Vac seemed as if it could be a good fit. It was an inexpensive product, and looked easy to operate. However, it was very flimsy and didn't hold up very long. The pastic front piece broke within two months, and it never held a charge for very long. In this case, while the product is a good idea, Yo get what you pay for.
I have wanted this item for over a year now and finally spent the $30 to get one. I am SOOO DISAPPOINTED. I charged vac for 24 hours like it said....then, I tried to use it....It was very weak and then it only lasted about 10 minutes!!!! I looked on the package to make sure it was only to be charged 24 and yes that was correct. I kept reading in the fine print of the directions and it says that you have to charge the vac 16 HOURS to use for only 10-12 minutes! WHAT A RIP OFF! I have bought the other Swiffer Sweeper items and loved them so I did not keep the receipt for this Vac and...

I just moved into an apartment back in February, and it's all hard wood floors. I have a cat that sheds like you wouldn't believe, and I was killing myself trying to keep the floors clean. Then I was in a store one day and saw the Swiffer Vacuum and decided to give it a shot. Well, needless to say, my floors are ten times cleaner and there's not cat hair all over the place. The Swiffer Vacuum is very easy to use, all you have to do is charge it, put a swiffer cloth on it and away you go. I am definately satisfied with this product.
My husband bought this for me when I was pregnant because I used to complain about having to bend down to sweep dirt into a dust pan. I told him I wanted the Swivel Sweeper (which costs almost the same price as the swiffer), and he misunderstood me and thought I meant the Swiffer Sweep Vac.This product is okay for people with disabilities or pregnant women. I say it's just okay because it doesn't pick up everything like I thought it would. And what makes it suck is that you have to charge it for over 8 hours, just so that the vac could only last 10 minutes! My whole house is ceramic tile. I have...

On the last day, the day they were coming home, I wanted the place to be tidy so I grabbed their Swiffer Vac. It is so lightweight and easy to use. It picked up all the pet hair, bird seed, dirt and stray leaves that were on the floor.
They store it in the corner of the laundry room-- it does nto take up a lot of space. The battery is rechargeable so no cords to get in the way.
It accomodates the Swiffer cloths which makes the cleaning...

On one charge, it will last us about three days, and sometimes longer, but our house isn't very big. We have a nine month old, and so there's constantly Cheerios in the floor. This picks them all up without any trouble. It's so much easier than using a broom and dust pan. It charges well, and moves well along the floor. It uses a duster cloth, which gets up all the dust that collects on the floor. Our baby is crawling all over now,...

It picks up most of the small pieces of food from my children, and all of the dust bunnies and dg hair, which has been my biggest issue. It doesn't pick up popcorn kernals which is a bummer because we eat popcorn every weekend. It gets under my coffee table and chairs and is easy to maneuver. My two year old can even sweep the living room floor which is a huge plus. I think it is over priced especially since you have to replace the filter and the swiffer clothes! I am glad there are an off brand for the cloths...
read full review »I am on my second swiffer sweeper and vac. The first one would not hold a charge but I had it for a very long time. I rated this product a four star and not five star because of the short charge time. I can barely do the living/dining room and kitchen before it really starts to slow down. However I am aware that I can purchase more heavy duty vacuums that plug in...they don't come with the swiffer pads! That is what makes this vacuum more appealing to me, those pads pick up so much dust, hair and pet hair that would get blown around by a regular vacuum. The vacuum suction is not the...
