Swiffer Sweep + Vac Reviews

I have wanted this item for over a year now and finally spent the $30 to get one.  I am SOOO DISAPPOINTED.  I charged vac for 24 hours like it said....then, I tried to use it....It was very weak and then it only lasted about 10 minutes!!!!  I looked on the package to make sure it was only to be charged 24 and yes that was correct.  I kept reading in the fine print of the directions and it says that you have to charge the vac 16 HOURS to use for only 10-12 minutes!  WHAT A RIP OFF!  I have bought the other Swiffer Sweeper items and loved them so I did not keep the… read full review »

I have been eyeing the Swiffer Sweep & Vac for several months, but with a $30 price tag I was a bit skeptical. I finally broke down and bought one after walking by it 3 different times in the store, on purpse ;) — — I brought it home, charged it up for 12 or so hours and was able to clean the whole house before the charge gave out!! Due to my insane schedule and multi-pet houshold, I love any tool that makes house cleaning easier. This little vac and sweep really helps out on hard flooring! It vacumes AND it has a dry swiffer attachment, so you get the best of both worlds in one tool. It's really handy for picking up loose dirt and pet hair. I love using it in the bathroom to pick up hair. — — It's also very lightweight, and the charge seems to last a long time. I have had two of these sweepers in the past two years and would not buy another one because they do not last and do not pick up debris very well.  The suction power is weak and the battery dies within a few months.  There is no way to recharge the battery either.  I have not seen any replacement batteries for sale, and it is impossible to even remove the battery.  You have to buy a new sweeper when it dies.  You are better off just buying the regular Swiffer sweeper without the vac and using a vacuum cleaner for heavy cleaning.  The Sweeper + vac is light and… read full review »

I purchased my Swiffer Sweep and Vac about 3 years ago.  It works wonderfully on any smooth/hard surface and is very lightweight.  It is great for quick clean-ups. My 2 year old, who thinks that is actually funny to grab things off of my counter and run, decided to take my sugar canister and dump it all throughout the house.  Did I get angry?  Well maybe a little - however, I was able to quickly grab my swiffer vac and clean up the mess in less than 2 minutes. — Downside #1:  short charge on the battery (may be time to just purchase a whole new… read full review »

I am on my second Sweep + Vac.  The first lasted almost exactly on year before the battery failed to hold a charge for longer than a couple of minutes.  The current one is beginning to decline in performance.  I expect to need to replace it within the next few months.  — — Regardless of the relatively short lifespan of these machines, I think that the price is reasonable for the performance you get out of them.  In a house with white tile and black pets, the Sweep + Vac is used daily here.  I run it until the battery is completely dead and charge it… read full review »

The Swiffer Sweep & Vac is the most wonderful time saver I have found for general clean-ups. I have a very busy lifestyle, so I take advantage of as many products as I can to keep my home clean. If there is a spill on any flooring surface (except carpeting) just turn on the vac and your done.
