Swiffer Dusters come in a box that contains one handle and five disposable dusters. The handle is a cinch to snap together, and you simply fluff out the duster until the little "fingers" are plumped up and ready to grab onto dusty surfaces.
The duster does a magnificent job of chasing those dust bunnies, and they can't even hide in the tightest corners. I dust everything from my furniture, to my keyboards, television screens, lamps, picture frames, and knick-knacks. Where the Swiffer Duster works best is on the room vents where dust really likes to collect. In the past, I used my vacuum hose to clean out the vents, but I find that the Swiffer Duster is a much easier solution for keeping those vents dust-free. I don't have to pull out a heavy vacuum and mess with attachments. With a few swipes of the Swiffer Duster, I have a clean vent with little effort.
I also use the Swiffer Duster to clean out the excess lint in my clothing dryer. Even after the lint filter is pulled out and cleaned, I can still see residual lint trapped inside. Because the Swiffer Duster is flexible, I can easily grab the excess lint that is hiding inside the lint trap.
I still hate dusting, but I love that Swiffer Dusters make the job so much easier for me. I hope that some day they come out with a eco-friendly product made of recycled fibers. Until then, I will use these to keep my home dust and allergen-free.
